SHOUT OUT to "Lindzee!!! On Thu05Nov2020 at 21:23 She let me inside the store though dining had closed at 21 for their Winter hours and only the Drive Thru was still open afterwards. I walked there from one block away at Motel 6 where we would sleep for one night. I called her on the phone since the doors to dining were locked, to ask why it was closed since the hours posted on the door wasn't yet updated. She saw me at the door and let me in after I whined and said ohhh mang, I drive here all the way from home in Provo UTAH to get my Runza fix after stopping here last time 6 years ago (same restaurant and same motel) since we're driving back to Chicago to visit and she was excited to let me inside and did not want me to miss out on my yummy Runza sandwiches since they're not in UTAH & WYOMING yet!!! Yep even with my lawfully holstered "life preserver" on my hip since I open carry all the time, she knew I was AMERICAN despite my funny way of talking (NZ accent) and that I'm NOT a cop, Security or a bad guy and was not scared of me with a gun openly carried on my belt, haha!!! Lindzee, you are an angel to hungry travelers on the freeway and you truly represent RUNZA and the great REPUBLIC OF NEBRASKA and the City Of North Platte with sincere and true hospitality!!!
ATTENTION Store Manager!!! You need to show Lindzee the money (raise) and the recognition she deserves! She didn't have to serve me over and above like she did outside of dining hours but did so out of genuine enthusiasm and kindness! I await your acknowledgment STORE MANAGER of my REVIEW! CHEERS!!! Read moreYummy late lunch on a chilly day! (Take exit 177N off of I-80, second light, on the right.) We don't see Runza places much where we come from and were intrigued while on the road. A lot of home recipes call this fried hamburger-shredded cabbage mixture surrounded by freshly baked bread a "Krautburger". The staff, neatly attired in clean workmanlike clothes and speaking fluent English, welcomed us, asking how we were, how was the weather out there, and were very patient while we decided what to order. It's neat that Runza Restaurants let you have onion rings and french fries without making two separate orders. It's called "Frings". The SoBe Life Water (Pomegranate) on tap offered something healthier than the usual soda. This was a very clean place. Staff seemed to enjoy each other's company, worked efficiently together, and they were all working hard at sweeping and neatening up areas when they weren't actually preparing or serving food, or taking orders. A great I-80 at North Platte stop. This Runza might want to redo its wall signage behind the counter to correct the grammar of "everyday" to...
Read moreFirst time to a Runza Judging by the reviews, I must've really done something wrong. I ordered onion rings, mushroom Swiss runza, and ranch wrap.
Onion were fine once. Never twice. I probably should've gotten the fries.
The ranch wrap was tossed directly into the trash. They should be ashamed of whatever that was.
The mushroom Swiss runza was fine I guess. It had no flavor, no distinct qualities other than smelling a bit like feet.
I don't know. I guess I don't get it. I'm very happy that you all like this place though.
{{{{ I just went back to the register after writing that review and ordered a spicy jack burger and fries, I really wanted to be certain.}}}}
The spicy jack burger and fries were much better than my original order. So thank you for that. Still though, I'm confident this place must thrive in areas without much competition. Five guys, whattaburger, Del Taco, hell even Wendy's would shut this place down.
Nothing...
