My family and friends stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham North Platte for my father's funeral. This hotel is absolutely horrific. I would recommend staying clear of this place. Now they will say that our party did not complain until AFTER our stay, well that was because we were there for a FUNERAL. Here are the key points · The hotel and rooms are filthy and outdated. · They accused us of being racist, but this is a VERY mixed family. The lie they tell is so exaggerated that we feel personally attacked. · There was a group of us and I am in agreement we were probably a little louder than normal talking level in the common area the first night, but quiet hours are 11p-7a. And we were nothing but polite when they told us to quiet down. · When they told us it was quiet hours, it was 11:15pm, we cleaned up our area and went to the hotel bar. In total, we were asked to lower our volume once and that it was then quiet hours, so we dispersed immediately. The receipts we received say they told us three times, then of course they state our "boisterous" group was told at least five times to quiet down when this issue escalated to corporate. Again, more lies. · We had 10 families stay at this hotel, wait make that 9 one family got TWO dirty rooms (one after the other) upon check in and left and went to a hotel across the street. · There was what looked to be blood on a door hinge in my room. · The carpet is so loose and wrinkled I tripped over it. There are also areas of carpet being held down by duct tape. · The floors in the rooms were so dirty you couldn't be barefoot. · One room had a LIVE cockroach in the drawer. The hotel says they called an exterminator after we left... hopefully they can prove that with their reply including date and time pictures of the exterminator being there. · One of the bathroom doors was clearly damaged and about to fall out of the door. · One of the bathrooms had a dryer that was placed in the wall that had fallen out before and was never fixed. They have likely charged other guests for this "issue" several times over. · They claim we had animals in non-designated pet rooms, another lie, where they had so much pollen and dander that the rooms could not be used for 3 days. They even go as far as to state we refused to get a pet room... which was the first thing one of us did when they arrived. · My aunt, who is 80 years old, was told her room had to be fumigated and have an ozone machine run because of the strong smell of marijuana which is one of many lies the people running this dump will try to tell. · When asked for a written policy in regard to not being able to have alcoholic beverages in the commons area, they repeatedly stated they could not share them with us, nor were they posted anywhere. They said it was their rule and they did not need to share them with us. · The hotel bar staff state they are clear to everyone that they are NOT associated with them, and they have nothing but problems with them. Guests complain all the time. · The hotel called the police on us for sitting in an area that is not a fire escape route. We had a few chairs in a large open area at 7pm that clearly was not an issue. Rather than come talk to us, they called the cops. Of course, the cop said she gets called there all the time and there was nothing she could do because there were no violations. The floor in the bathroom was so warped that you could barely shut the door. · When we shared our experience with others, it is apparent this hotel has quite the history for being a complete disaster of a business. · When we blocked the rooms, I specifically asked if the pool was open because we have a young child who was looking forward to swimming and was told yes It was open. They knew when we were checking in and a complete overhaul of the pool is not something you schedule overnight. No credit was given for this.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with this "charming" establishment? Let me enlighten you about the delightful experience I had at the hotel of horrors. Picture this: a parking lot bustling with friendly transient folks engaging in the thrilling trade of drug dealing. Such a refreshing sight, wouldn't you agree? As I made my way towards the entrance, my excitement grew exponentially. The run-down and dilapidated structures stood tall, as if frozen in time, showcasing the epitome of architectural neglect. Who needs a picturesque view when you can marvel at crumbling walls and cracked windows, right? But wait, it gets even better! Inside, the grandeur continued with water leaks gracefully descending from the ceilings, as if nature itself was weeping for the poor souls who found themselves trapped in this abode of misery. And if that weren't enough, the absence of air conditioning brought me closer to nature's sweaty embrace, as I relished in the warm, humid atmosphere. Pure bliss! Ah, the aroma! The stench that permeated the air was nothing short of remarkable. I'm not sure if it was the enchanting combination of dampness and despair or some mysterious creature lurking in the corners, but it definitely left a lasting impression on my senses. Now, let's talk about the rooms, shall we? Oh, the rooms! Those questionably enticing spaces that made me question every life choice I had made up to that point. The unkempt beds, the questionable stains on the carpet, and the peculiar assortment of unidentified objects strewn about—each one a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing an unforgettable experience. Feeling unsafe was an understatement. As fear slowly crept into my bones, I decided to flee from this den of nightmares just 20 minutes after my arrival. To my relief, I noticed a trend among my fellow guests: a mass exodus of disillusioned souls, seeking refuge in more sane and sanitary accommodations. So, if you're looking for an adventure that involves engaging with transient drug dealers, reveling in the company of dilapidated structures, relishing in water leaks, sweating profusely, enjoying intriguing stenches, and exploring the depths of questionable rooms, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. But for those of us who prefer safety, comfort, and an absence of sheer terror, it might be wise to look elsewhere. Bon voyage!

Absolute WORST hotel experience have ever had. We booked a group rated stay at this hotel, three nights (checking in on Wednesday afternoon and checking out Saturday morning) over Thanksgiving. In total our family reserved 6 rooms. When reserving and confirming our stay, we were supposed to be staying in King suites. When we arrived at the hotel on Wednesday, several rooms under our names were not ready at all. Several rooms smelled of spray paint and some of our family members were not able to check in until several hours after they had arrived. (Check in at 3 and that is when they had arrived.) The suites that we ended up staying in were actually double queens suites. The King suites we had reserved have apparently been under renovations, according to the general manager and the desk staff. The website still had availability for those suites. The general manager, Chris Casey, was not helpful during our stay at all. He lied to us several times and was very rude and condescending towards anyone in our party when we approached him about issues with our stay. We were very informed that the rooms we had reserved were not available. My husbands grandparents were out in a room that smelled terribly of paint fumes and that did make them feel ill for a day or so. We had to have them move to one of our other rooms on the main floor and then another member of our party had to move to the second floor to find a new room that did not smell like paint. Also, the entire hotel is filthy (see attached photos). We were given a discount on our rooms after several requests, due to the inconveniences as this experience was not what we had been promised but the sales people when we booked our group stay. Aside from getting a small discount on our rooms, we did not receive any other accommodations for all of our troubles. Overall the desk and housekeeping staff were very nice. The general manager, however, was very unpleasant and disrespectful to all of our party. He was incredibly rude on several occasions. I would not recommend this hotel, or this chain, to anyone. We have several members of our party that travel for work every month and help organize conferences across the nation. We will avoid Ramada hotels and any hotels managers by Wyndham at all cost.

Looking for a clean room? Stay somewhere else! I booked a 4-night stay recently as there is an event in this hotel that I like to attend in March and September. This place gets worse every year. All-time worst experience this year. First of all, I booked a ground-level suite 6 months prior and was assured I would get a room on the first floor. Nope. They had given that room away, even though I checked in at about 3 pm. Not the first time I did not get the room I was promised.|Now, let me tell you all about the absolutely FILTHY room they put me in. I have photos but don’t see a way to post them. Too bad…they are full-color proof of how bad it is.|There was vomit on the floor next to the bed, on the bed skirt, and up the wall!|The comforter had dog pee on it!|The floor was dirty.|There was food (dried shredded cheese included) and debris behind the heads of the beds and behind/under the night stand.|There was dried white droplets (I can guess what these were) as well as cracker crumbs on the futon and ottoman.|The heating/cooling units appear to have something growing in them. Looks like mold.|Something had dripped and dried on wall under the heating/cooling unit in the bedroom.|Why do I check for cleanliness here? Past history. A couple years ago, there was a used condom peeking out from behind the bed. I have more stories about this place but won’t get into them. Why do I stay here? I ask myself that all the time. It is convenient to have a room in the same hotel as the 4-day event. Last year, a manager cleaned the room herself and fired a maid. I thought they might be on the right track so booked the room this year. Bad idea.|This time, I told the front desk attendant about the condition of my room. She said she could move me to another room but that would be dirty too. So…they know it’s bad but allow it to continue. She said she called the maids who were “annoyed” but they would come clean it. I waited an hour and they never showed up.|I took the comforter and bed skirt to the front desk. Was taken to the laundry room to get a clean comforter. Also ordered cleaning supplies from Walmart and had them delivered to the lobby. $60 and it took me an hour and a half to clean to room myself. Manager never showed his face. Couldn’t be bothered to talk to me. Finally, 2 days later, I asked to speak to him. He never did see me in person but relayed through the desk person that they wouldn’t charge me for the first night. I am not satisfied with this and have opened a case with Ramada. In my opinion, this place is a bio-hazard. I am reporting it to the health department.|The hotel looks good from the outside. That is where it ends. There’s been severe water damage in the hallway areas. I have been there when water poured in from rain, dripped down the balcony and they tried to catch it in plants. The carpet was so wet, it made sloshing sounds to walk on it. Same carpet is there…all stretched with ridges creating a tripping hazard. Goodness knows what is under that water-damaged carpet.|Just this last time, there were recycling buckets in another hallway with water in them. Must still have a leak.|The exercise room is a joke. None of the equipment works as it should. Hand sanitizer is empty and, believe me, you want it.|Anyway, heads up that this place is FILTHY and I recommend you...
