A favorite in a quiet neighborhood, this place never disappoints. Homemade everything and "everything" includes classic deli fish and meat and egg salads, sides, latkes, bagels and schmeers, sandwiches, and soup as well as a few eclectic favorites like avocado toast and bibimbap. Huge selection of tempting baked goods as well. Comfy table and chair or bench seating inside with big picture windows at both ends for great natural lighting. Ambient noise is at a comfortable level allowing for easy conversation. Also patio seating on the sidewalk in front is usually shaded all morning and early afternoon. Weekend breakfast bar includes self serve oatmeal with toppings and a custom omelette station. Near a bus stop and with plenty of parking, it's worth going out of your way if you want an authentic New York deli...

This was my very first time in the establishment and the service was not friendly. I usually don't split hairs because everyone has a bad day every now and again... but there was not an inkling of friendliness to either one of the ladies I encountered. I had to use the restroom and albeit decent enough, when I finished there was no paper towels to dry my hands with so when I came back out to pick up my order (with wet hands) I advised that there were no paper towels in the restroom and was given a brush off. On top of that I ordered an onion bagel with scallion cream cheese. It tasted burnt on the outside which made it difficult to choke down so I ended up throwing 3/4 of it in the trash. Won't be...

Take my reviews with the knowledge that to get a five star it has to be perfect. We visited on a Sunday morning around 10am and there was no line and about 3 tables taken. Nearly all the bagel options were all gone. Most of the tables were available, but we could only find about 3 that weren't dirty. Service at the counter was polite and efficient.

Food was as anticipated, good enough bagels, not the kind that you have to chew into and pull hard to snap off a bite. Bagels are easy to bite into. I was pleased that I was given more than enough cream cheese, possibly too much! The cappuccino was also as expected. $9.05 for large cappuccino and a plain bagel with cream cheese...
