I placed an order via the Tropical Smoothie app. The purchase also included a 20% tip for the DoorDash driver. My order arrived prior to the expected delivery time. I immediately notice that my order is incomplete, as the two smoothies ordered were not in hand. I mention it to the driver, and he states that he wasn’t given the smoothies, that he’s unable to contact the restaurant directly, and leaves. At this point, there’s no way to retract/adjust the tip. I was unable to cancel my almost $50 order via the app, so I attempted to contact the store to rectify the situation. I phoned in for approximately 15 minutes. No answer. At this point, it’s now 30 minutes to closing, so I decide to go up to the store to retrieve my remaining items. I get there, and they’re not busy. I immediately identify my items on the back counter. I inquired about the lack of answering the phone, and the manager replied that the phone isn’t working. She then goes on to grab her glasses to verify that the items that I’m requesting are in fact mine on the back counter. No apology was given. Read moreThe worst location. Its poorly managed. They open at 7. My online order was placed at 6:45am. It said it would be ready at 7:10. I walk in at 7:13. The 2 women working there don't greet or utter a hello.
I look at their pick up counter. No orders ready. I ask them, where's my order? No response. I ask in Spanish since it seems that they dont understand.
The shorter woman is like setting up and I'm like I need my order.
My order was not made. A smoothie and a chicken quesadilla. The other woman yells that oven is cold and what other item do I want. Im like how are they not prepared to be open at 7? I reluctantly get a salad.
This isn't the first time when I order, my order isn't ready. Another time my order was to ready at 8am and my order is not ready.
The employees need to be retrained. If they cant get the orders on time, change the store hours.
Flower Hill and Gaithersburg location are much better.

We placed our order for 3 smoothies and 1 flatbread and told them exactly how to make them as the evening crew knows us, and we don't have to tell them. My husband stood there and explained how to make the smoothies. They had an attitude off the jump, and the smoothies were made wrong 3 times and they don'tput the top on completely. . I guess the young lady was being funny because she made one so thick that you couldn't drink it. We ended up throwing 2 of the smoothies in the trash and just leaving. My flat bread sandwich was given to someone else who didn't order it, and I'm sure they were mad when they opened it up. This is the worst location that I have ever experienced, and we will not go back. The customer service received from the employees was very bad. Your employees need to know that if they don't want to provide great customer service, then they should just quit. Your customers deserve to be treated nice because we don't have to patronize this...
