Pholuscious Vietnamese Noodles and Grill — Restaurant in North Potomac

Looked like a good place to get lunch. The reason for my poor review is simple. I walked in and asked if I can take out order. Had to ask for the menu while they are talking are awkwardly just looking at me laughing for some reason. I asked for 3 orders and the staff said pork and shrimp. I said okay half shrimp half pork. Once again looked at me awkwardly with no response, so I said 1 order has 2 rolls so 3 pork 3 shrimp. Looked at me like that was such an impossible request. I said is that okay as it seemed to much to ask for, she responded said yes. Came in picked up my food and asked for a straw as I had a drink in my car I wanted a straw for once again a mean look and gave me a straw with clear laughter once again. No thank you no have a good day just point at the table with my food in the bag. Not a big deal. I get to my car and after all that she gives me all 6 rolls with shrimp and adds a note with NO PORK… after she gave me that option. Never mentioned it to me while I was in the restaurant. Maybe a little comment I’m sorry but we didn’t have pork and I would have been completely okay with that. Food was horrible and very fishy taste, staff is rude and extremely awkward and get confused with the smallest requests. This is a place that makes pho and you don’t have pork. I never make reviews as I am in the service industry and things happen. But I will definitely not be coming back and it makes sense why the place only had one person eating in there during peak lunch hours. And prices are a little above average for the quality. I went here just couple of days ago and I wasn’t impressed. I’ve been here before and thought the food was good when they were new. I ordered Thai Iced Tea, then when I received the drink, I took one or two sips and didn’t like it. It tasted watered down and honestly, I didn’t taste the “tea” in it. So I asked the server if he can just take it away and make sure to take it off the tab. He said they can’t do that since I already drank it. The Owner came over even came over to explain the process of making Thai Iced Tea, how it’s not instant and they make it with tea leaves. I found that hard to believe, since I tasted no “tea” in the Thai Iced Tea, I only tasted room temp water, whatever cream they used, and sugar! So the Owner was trying to justify the drink. I drink plenty of Thai Iced Tea and I know for sure this one was horrible. Why didn’t they offer me to get another drink to at least replace this one? I just gave up and stopped saying anything back. I wanted to just leave but I was with my family. Needless to say, that left a bad taste to me so I didn’t want to order anything else. The customer service was bad and I won’t be coming back. My husband and I, We AWALYS order PHO from them because it's what is closest to our house literally 7 minutes away went because of good reviews but better off buying instant pho. DON'T GO!!!. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Do not recommend. Customer service was bad bad bad. Treated us like they were annoyed to take our order. Oh yeahhhh!!!! Let me not forget we ALWAYS have to check inside the order to see if we have chilly Sauce and chopsticks, I am starting to feel like their extremely rude!!! I am totally feeling discriminated against "hispanics" or just because we don't look like them, SMH, because me and my husband with my little son go there eat at the Resturant or we either do a PICK UP since never once throw in the order those two things in our order and when my husband has to ask them the "men" has to charge us for the sauce like seriously on top of that........they do nOT include it with our order but yet! charge us chilly sauce and chopsticks LOL,,,,, doesn't make since at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
