Today's review is dated Sept 14, 2024 There are literally ONLY two people that deserve recognition for a job well done! Before I even start this review, I want to commend the young lady behind the register her name is Lovely. She literally ran her butt off and smiled at everyone at all times. She had a positive attitude through all the issues that arose while we stood in line for 25+ minutes waiting for our food. I watched one lady get her order wrong 3x The thing was lovely was not the person who was putting the order in The lady in the green shirt who was referred to as a manager was the one putting the order in wrong because she was so frustrated with all of what was going on she couldn't concentrate on what the person who was placing the order was saying. The customer was so upset the food back I watched it three times. At the third time that is when I saw this young man jump in and take care of the situation I found out later his name is Chad and from that point this young man stepped up and took care of everything that was wrong and quickly. I am not sure if he is a manager or a manager in training but he did a wonderful job getting everyone else's mistakes corrected, and back on track. The lady with a green shirt on who made all the mistakes for the lady who just wanted McDoubles with ketchup only three times never apologized to the lady at least I never heard it. My husband's meal was sent out to people outside, some random stranger who works at another McDonald's in Avon Ohio which is the McDonald's I prefer because that one is amazing and they have less people and I never have a problem there... She ran out and told the kid give me that bag that's for a guy inside... I was given the wrong iced coffee and had to wait because they ran out of iced coffee. Just not the best experience for us, but having to wait 25 minutes for our food we were able to see a half a dozen or more people also had issues with their food and the guy that had the door dash order had to wait over 40 minutes for his food. I was kind of fun actually everyone was standing around complaining to each other and showing each other what everybody's order was and how wrong it was. One guy stood here and said they gave me a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and I ordered the $5 meal deal and instead of chicken nuggets they gave me mac sauce in a cup.... When he did come inside Chad took care of him quickly and I saw Lovely great him with a smile. Best thing about our meal was we ordered the 13 chocolate chip cookies made fresh and they were delicious.
I know your probably saying..."McDonald's is just McDonald's...they are all the same. But that is not true! We live literally 3 minutes away from the McDonald's in our town, and we drive 15 minutes to get to this one.... Why??? Because we like fresh food, and food made right the first time. The cashier at the drive through "Fran" always has a happy greeting for us when we go in the morning s. Good food, great service and we'll... Its worth the trip. Best...
Read moreThis review is for the employees. Please take the time today to give yourselves a pat on the back for the hard work you do. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. In todays landscape of which everyone is doing what they can to stay ahead of the paper chase, working in the fast food industry is one of the most arduous paces to keep. It really does make a tremendous difference to us as customers and courier's alike, when you on the front lines of customer service are able to deliver meals in the minimalist of time with a smile and pleasant attitude despite drive thru traffic that is unceasing and a lobby chock full of guests armed with a plethora of empty stomachs and the pettiest of complaints. I see these things and wonder how you all are able to do it with a genuine smile. So I place especially blunt emphasis on this next statement: It. Is. Not. Easy. To. Do. Your. Job! So please accept this round of applause from a lowly delivery driver that frequents your establishment several times a week, and understand that everyone, from Katie (I think her name is) and the girls juggling operations with the cash registers and drive thru orders, the cooks piecing together meals with lightning quick dexterity, to the runners bringing it all out to the curbsides. Read moreOverall, not a bad experience at this McDonalds today. We went through the drive thru and the crew member at the speaker/window was friendly. Service was quick enough, if no HBO.
The food was.. okay. We ordered an artisan Chicken sandwich value meal (#5). A 4 piece happy meal and an extra 4 piece chicken nugget.
The sandwich was great, the nuggets were acceptable, though the oil was getting on.
The reason for the low rating was the fries. They were entirely inedible. To start, they had entirely too much salt on them. Secondly, they were old to the point of being soft rather than crisp. Lastly, and most importantly, the oil was past experation. My guess is the oil hasn't been changed in 9 days, it's not just time to change it, its straight up old. Leaving the burnt aftertaste in your throat after consumption.
I've been there, I've done your job. It's a hard, stressful job. I can forgive most misgivings having lived the other side of things. But there is no excuse for not changing your oil before the product cooked in your vats becomes inedible.
