Roddy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in North St. Paul

First time there last weekend, I just moved back here after 20 years. Had four beers in the course of 3 hours. I'm 6'2" 265lbs... I was definitely Ruphied. I barely made it home less than a mile, before I passed out in my truck. It takes more than beer to knock me out like that. I remember exactly who had access to my beer that night. The bartender (who gave me some kind of brainless adolescent lecture about something I didn't and don't understand) before I left, and three others, all four of whom I will not forget.

Had a 40th surprise party scheduled & 4 days before the party they called and told me the room I reserved weeks in advance may or may not be ready for guests arrival. Why rent private parties if you just do that? Awful business to deal with. Folks coming to party from all over, some with hotels already booked close to Roddys. I'll never step foot in this...

We were in town for a tournament my daughter was playing in. Pretty cool place. Dart tournament was going on and bar was full. Brian the bartender was on the spot and friendly for the crowd at hand. Nice not to be shadowed for not being a regular as you get at most other establishments. Good atmosphere friendly people. Will be back next time...
