Poor experience to celebrate my wife's promotion at work on Monday 11/21. This was our first dining experience at this location in many years, as we usually visit the Greentree or Robinson locations and we will not be returning. There was a wait to be seated despite there being open tables in both the restaurant and bar areas. The bartender served my wife the wrong drink, which we ignored because she seemed busy and flustered as it was. We waited at the bar for 20 minutes before being seated at one of the open booths nearby. Our server was pleasant enough initially, brought water and took our order. Our Pick-a-dippa and the young lady that served it were the best parts of our visit. Entrees, ordered at the same time as the appetizer, took around 30 minutes. My wife did not receive the tortilla she asked for on the side of her burrito bowl. My wing-o-rito tacos were dry and I had to ask for the included side of ranch. The rice was overcooked and dry while the beans were just this side of cooked. None of my food was particularly hot - lukewarm at best. The young lady serving food (not the server that took our order) helped to remedy the missing items. Our initial server did not acknowledge us again until we had been finished eating, with empty plates and drinks for at least 10 minutes. We asked for the check which she brought and then disappeared for another 10 minutes. When she eventually returned with the paid check not a single word was said - didn't even make eye contact - just unceremoniously dropped on the table and walked away. Only the second time in my life that I've not left gratuity for a server. We were polite throughout and my wife was very upset, asking as we walked out of the restaurant "what did we do to deserve being...
Read moreI ordered takeout via DoorDash (option on MadMex website. I go to pick up 30 minute later and the bar tender tells me one item isn’t available, would I like something else. I ask why I wasn’t notified and he immediately says “I’m just the messenger, would you like to talk with the manager?” Unfortunately I said yes, and proceeded to ask the manager Jeanine why I wasn’t notified. She rudely and smugly blames me and DoorDash, and continues to ask what I want, as if I’m the problem. I wait 15 more minutes only for the bartender to tell me the other item from my order as well as the replacement item I ordered is also not available. I ask Jeanine again why I wasn’t just notified as DoorDash had nothing to do with the bartender not letting me know sooner that the second item I ordered isn’t available, and she said “it’s cinco de mayo weekend,” and “I can’t manifest food for you,” while making an exaggerated hand gesture. On top of that, she tells me I need to call DoorDash to get my refund. I ask why she can’t call or notify them for me since they’re the ones who messed up, and I said that this was insanity, and she began to mockingly say “it’s insane.” She added “because she has a business to run,” as her and about 8 other workers stand around an almost empty restaurant. This is the most bizarre and worst display of customer service I have ever seen. I never got an apology for twice wasting my time, no “how can we make it right?” I got yelled at and mocked because I dared ask why I wasn’t notified food was out of stock 30 minutes prior and then again while I waited at the bar. Do yourself a favor and never give them...
Read moreTook my wife and kids here on thrusday night. Was seated quickly and out waitress was very sweet. Our food get to our table after some time. My kiddos ordered the beef nachos. My wife got steak tacos and i got the spicy mex burrito. Out of the 4 dishes, my burrito was they only one that was even remotely close to being hot. My kids nachos came out cold and were stiff as a brick. They looked like the were just microwaved. My wife's tacos were also a mess, cold pile of rice and beans, corn tortillas were fresh out the pack and never touched heat and the steak was cold. My wife attempted to eat a taco because we came with empty bellies expecting to eat but she was met with disappointment. Our very nice waitress apologized and grabbed the manager, who absolutely no help. I was they only one who could eat some of my food. My kids plates were clearly untouched, they just ate the chips and salsa we ordered. The manager stumbled through why they couldn't atleast take off the food they all clearly didnt enjoy or eat. The manager told us its "company policy" that if the food was even touched that they couldn't take it off the bill.60$ bill taken down to 46$ for some chips and salsa and a lukewarm burrito. First and very last experience here. Left to go to el campisino for some hot food so that atleast my kiddos could enjoy some food that night. Absolutely...
