CANCUN Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in North Topsail Beach

We visited your establishment as part of a weekend birthday celebration for my sister. Both my sister and her friend who placed the order are vegans, as well as one having a dairy allergy. We specifically did our research and decided on your restaurant because there were vegan-friendly options listed on your menu. We studied the menu and all ingredients included in the entrees in order to decide on an order that would work for the dietary needs of all. We ordered two vegetable fajitas with no sour cream or cheese, with guacamole and pico de gallo. Our order was repeated back to us to verify the order that had been placed, however there were quite a few discrepancies. Not only were there both sour cream AND cheese on both orders of the vegetable fajitas, but there was no guacamole or pico de gallo included. In addition to these omissions, there were also mushrooms included in the vegetable fajitas despite the fact that they were not listed on the menu.

While there were some things missing from the order (and some things that SHOULD have been missing but weren't), the food that was included did taste fine. The guest copy of our receipt was not itemized to verify whether we had been charged for the missing guacamole or...

Food was excellent, but our server was not only poor, she was rude. She said there was no drink special and we had to remind her to check the board. We asked for quacamole with the meal for 39 cents and she brought a small bowl and wanted to charge 3.99. She took it back. We got the fish taco and we asked another server why there were no black beans. She said they dont serve that for lunch and give rice. We had to show her on the LUNCH menu where it showed it came with black beans. When the bill came, the guacamole appetizer was still on the bill! We asked the waitress to remove it and Diana got angry and snapped "dont have to worry. all free!" We tried to talk to her but she snapped up out plates and left. But another waitress who could speak English fluently came to give us a revised bill. So one says the meal is on them and then another says we had to pay. But that is fine, we just wanted the bill to be correct. The final waitress apologized and we left. It really set a horrible start to our vacation and was very stressful. !!!!PSA VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS!!!!

I visited this location today and ordered the veggie fajitas. The veggies were nicely seasoned and everything tasted good. The experience fell short whenever I found a piece of chicken in my veggie fajitas. Luckily I noticed it before eating it(I have been a vegetarian for about 2 years) and just ate around it. I decided not to say anything to the staff about it because I’m a passive person and I was satisfied enough with everything else. However, it is now 7 hours later and my stomach is still very upset. I believe it is because I ate veggies that were most likely cooked with meat- therefore containing animal fat/grease, etc etc. I have a sensitive digestive system and it’s been years since I’ve consumed meat/animal fat/grease. If you’re a vegetarian/vegan then I suggest notifying the staff and asking for your veggies to be cooked separately. Otherwise you may be unknowingly consuming...
