We went in on our last evening of vacation. They weren’t busy, 3 tables had patrons. I ordered my drink (strawberry lemonade) to be told there was no strawberry syrup for the drink so I chose something else. When the serve came to drop drinks, we still needed an extra moment. Eventually we sit and wait and wait and when she comes to drop some things at another table, she looks at me with that “uh oh” face and states “I didn’t get your order yet, I’m so sorry, let me go get my pad” . I’ve done restaurants and understand when it’s busy that things can get forgotten so I’m gracious… but they weren’t busy. The girl finally comes with a tablet (paper) while saying her pad is missing -gets all 5 orders. I get strawberry and crème (something along that line) crepes. I am told (again) there’s no strawberry syrup. Okay. Do you use your pancake syrup for drinks ?!!! I said just bring me some “crème” on the side and it’ll be alright. My 2 boys order grand slams.. my husband a burger and side of pancakes for our daughter. When the food finally arrives- the boys are both missing items, she looks at my husband and says I never put your order in, I’m sorry; I’ll have them make that on the fly. He asked “just the pancakes? Or burger?!” She said any of it! So he then had to wait even longer, we didn’t want to start without him so we’re trying to be considerate; but my cold food is getting colder - the hash browns were under cooked horribly for all of us.. it was a bad experience from start to finish. I recommend better training for staff, keeping items in stock … outside of that I think the establishment was fair. Props to them for showing up and trying! I do...
Read moreGot there this morning around 11. The waitress at door tried to seat me next to the door. Asked for a different seat and she allowed it. (Only positive encounter of my visit this morning at This Denny’s) Ordered the pumpkin hush puppies, took bite in to one got a rubber small object in my food. When I brought it up to my waitress all she wanted to know if I wanted a new order of them. Didn’t even apologize, didn’t have any concern for the inconvenience. I declined. I also ordered a iced coffee, the ice coffee that I have gotten in the past is sweet with coffee and creamer. My coffee came out with no creamer. I also brought this up to my waitress and she told me that they already put it in the coffee. She brought me some creamer. When I brought this up to the manager, she then told Me the pump for the creamer is broken and that I should have put creamer in my own coffee. The food that I had ordered came out incorrectly and I addressed again with my waitress and was just met with a passive attitude. So I thought maybe speaking to a manager would help. So when I went to pay my bill, I told the older taller blonde women who had a blue shirt what had happen. And was met with the exact same attitude. Piss pore service at this Denny’s. The worst service from a waitress and a manager. I will never be returning to eat here. And will advise everyone I meet and encounter to steer away from this location. I whisk there was an option to just leave my review and not even...
Read moreWe stopped in for dinner tonight. The waitress, Kenzie, was very friendly and helpful. One in our party ordered potato soup, but it was frozen and the cook refused to defrost it so our waitress could serve it. We heard her asking him to please make the soup, but he said it would take too long. We heard the entire exchange. She couldn’t talk him into it. So, when she came back over to the table, we asked where was the manager. She said the cook was the manager’s son and she would talk to the manager (which she did). The manager then came to our table and said the potato soup wasn’t the soup of the day. However, the menu didn’t mention any “soup of the day”. We placed our order and the food came out shortly. The food was terrible. I asked for a cup of decaf coffee because it was a cold night and the temperature inside the restaurant was very cold. There was no decaf, but the waitress made a fresh pot (we watched her). A few minutes later, the manager brought me a cup of coffee and told me she made a fresh pot for me. She was lying, as we literally sat right beside the coffee maker and saw the waitress make it. The manager sat at the bar with her hands in the pocket of her fleece coat until some folks came in that she knew. She then sat at the table with them the rest of the time we were there. The only positive element of our visit was our waitress. The manager needs to be replaced as...
