12-24-2025 edit:
My original review from five years ago garnered 5-stars. After a delivery order received yesterday, I have now sadly removed 4 of those stars, as I feel duped, disrespected, & cheated.
I ordered spinach & Cobb salads a month ago, & they were excellent! Now, just one month later, I ordered 3 spinach salads to complement a holiday meal. The delivered salads were suddenly halved in size, but NOT IN PRICE, & were missing the advertised croutons, to boot. The boiled eggs & the onion slices - in all 3 salads - were scattered deep down under a hefty final fistful of spinach leaves in a not exactly Pinterest-worthy fashion. The real ZINGER was that the boiled egg slices were MOLDY! I was horrified as I inspected them. Refrigerated boiled eggs stay fresh for up to one week; so, Aurelio's, were you purging items from your stock, prior to the two-day holiday break, hiding your old items under spinach leaves (or cheese layers or pastas, or marinara sauce) for cost-efficiency? Well, your ignorance cost you ... MY BUSINESS!
I didn't race back to fight for a refund or replacement; I pick my battles. (The salads went in the trash; I hope, at least, that the driver appreciated his great tip, which I can now add to my loss ... ). Instead, this review itself will survive to inform the public, repeatedly, of your operating style.
Who's your owner/franchisee? Where's your manager? Who's responsible for hiring & training? First thing in the morning, before ovens are even turned on, all perishables & shelved items should be inspected. Those nasty eggs should never have made it into my salads, & the person who selected & sliced those eggs, deeming them edible, is one ignorant employee, or one who doesn't give a damn, or BOTH! Show 'em the door!
DO BETTER, Aurelio's Hammond!

Read moreAfter the past two times I’ve ordered from here, have to say most likely won’t be back. My boyfriend ordered dinner for us from here a couple weeks ago, probably 2 weeks. I had him get me an order of hot wings and an order of the twisted sticks. When he got home with it, I had to call the store, speak to management and get the entire meal replaced because the wings were ice cold and the breadsticks were crushed and still doughy. Management replaced it and things were fine afterwards. Last night, we ordered from here yet again. I got the same thing, hot wings and twisted sticks. The twisted sticks were already splattered with marinara and felt like they had been pre-made and reheated. Like they were on a buffet line early in the day, splattered with marinara, reheated and reserved. And ever since I ate the wings, I have been EXTREMELY sick. Was completely fine until I ate 3 of the wings last night, after which I immediately was locked in the bathroom and have not stopped being ill since. No doubt in my mind their wings gave me food poisoning last night. Extremely disappointed. Can no longer trust this location to give me actually cooked food and not make me so sick to the point I can’t be further than 5 feet from a toilet. Won’t even bother contacting management again because what’s the point? It was last night and I can’t trust the replacement food they’d offer. I can’t even eat plain toast without immediately throwing it back up today. So...
Read moreOur server, "A" was pleasant and courteous. She took our drink order. Upon returning, she took the appetizer and pizza order. If only we would have stopped after the drinks! The twisty bread sticks were slightly above raw, soaked in butter. Her response was "sorry for all the butter." The pizza order was okay, even though we asked for it well done, it did not meet our expectations. My drink refill was incorrect and only took 10 minutes to correct. We were the only people in the restaurant during our entire meal. Upon finishing, I paid the $27.27 bill with a 20, 10 and 2 quarters. "A" went into the office and upon returning, asked if I had given her 2 - $20. I'm an honest person and told her the exact bills given. Driving away from the establishment, I decided to count my change, which to no ones surprise, was incorrect. "A" had given me $2.73 in change, shorting me 50 cents. We kept giving Aurelio's the benefit of doubt as people have bad days, but enough is enough today. If "A" is your server, kindly ask for someone else. She will not write down your order, so expect errors a plenty. After having Aurelio's in Hammond be a part of my life for nearly 50 years, today is the day I will...
