UPDATED The owner reached out to me to discuss my poor experience. I appreciated his apology and explanation for some of the hiccups that occurred.
Good food which was worsened by horrible customer service. I was planning on ordering from Bomber’s for a work lunch celebration serving a large group of people. I was in email correspondence with Bombers to ask some questions about the party packages that they offered about a week in advance of the event. I attempted to place my order via email (specifying which of the 4 large sides and 10 bottled drinks I desired with my party pack) but was informed by Christopher Cole that the restaurant only accepts orders day of and within 30 min of the desired pick up time. He said if I place the order the day of then I should have no issues getting the sides desired for my party pack. I tried to place the order on the online system but noticed some of the sides I was interested were not available, so I thought it would be best to call in the order. I called the restaurant and was informed by the assistant manager of the same policy but reassured there would be absolutely no issues if I called the day of to place my order. I clarified that all sides qualified for the B2 party pack. She said yes. My work event started at noon and I was told to call approximately at 11:10 am if I wanted a 11:40 am pick up. I called at 11:10 am on Friday morning and the phone kept ringing. No one picked up even after 10 minutes. I was stressed because the event was starting at noon. I tried looking online to order the package but AGAIN, more sides were missing from the availability. After about 15 minutes had passed on hold, I drove directly to the store to place my order. Upon arrival, I told the cashier Stephanie no one picked up my phone call when I tried to place the order. She walked to the phone, pushed a button (to turn the phones back on) and proceeded to ask what my order was. She did not once apologize for the inconvenience. In fact, she even had an attitude. When I placed my order for the party pack and told her which sides I wanted, she informed me that the sides I requested (Buffalo cauliflower and sweet potato fries) were not allowed with this order. Not once in my correspondence with two previous people (Chris and assistant manager) was I told this information. I was actually told the OPPOSITE. I ended up doing a double order of whatever sides were allowed and had to pay extra for the large sides I actually wanted. I did not have time to argue or bring this up to her because I was already running late since they did not pick up the telephone for me to place my order. I told cashier Stephanie that the assistant manager offered to give me free plates (boats) and utensils to eat with, and she said OK but I found out after I left the restaurant that those were missing from my order. I was able to get my order shortly after it was placed, but the amount of unnecessary stress placed on me due to lack of organization and customer service ruined the experience. What kind of restaurant does not allow customers to place orders in advance? And if you don’t allow advance orders you better make sure that your telephone line is ON so customers can place orders. And if you fail where’s the apology?!?! I had a clear time and date for a work event which required prompt placement of order, and due to failure of the restaurant to provide the means of ordering, it led to a very stressful and tight time frame for me to get food for my work party. Even before the date of the event, I had asked the assistant manager about the sides available in the B2 order and was told all sides are fair game. Chris never corrected me in our email correspondences either. That’s two “important” employees telling me one thing but It was only when I reached the register that I was informed this was not true and ended up with double orders of the sides that DID qualify. I still do not know who is right...

From the moment I walked through the door, the tantalizing aroma of smoked meat hinted at the deliciousness that awaited, and my visit did not disappoint. First and foremost, the star of the show at Bombers BBQ is undoubtedly the barbecue itself. I opted for the sampler platter, and it was a carnivore's dream come true. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, with a perfect balance of smokiness and sweetness in the sauce. The Burnt Ends were beautifully marbled and had a rich, smoky flavor that was simply irresistible. And let's not forget the shrimp, which was incredibly moist and packed with smoky goodness. Read moreUpdate: Dale just reached out to me today and made sure my order was still placed even though it’s for tomorrow luckily I didn’t go to the store yet. I upgraded my 1 to a 5 but definitely something Bombers should look at going forward to fix the process because we do love the food.
Terrible communication now left with last minute having to figure out food for my daughters birthday party. Followed the steps Bombers asks by going online and filling out the form for catering. Received an email notification I would be contacted in 24hours which never came. I reached out to them myself was told the Manager was on break and I would receive a call which again didn’t happen. The following day 2 days after filling out the online quote I called and again was told the Manager was busy and would call me back and left my name and number. Again no call back so once again 3 days after filling out the online quote I called to be told again that the manager would call me back between 2 and 5 which to no surprise didn’t happen. I made it clear when I called Tuesday and Wednesday that if the order couldn’t be placed to just let me know now so I could make other arrangements but I was assured on the phone I would receive a call and there wouldn’t be any issues. So now it’s 1 day before the event and I’ve still not received a call or anything from this poorly operated and managed business.
The only request was the orders be submitted 72hrs in advance which I made multiple attempts a week in advance.
DO NOT ORDER CATERING or RELY ON BOMBERS to come through on anything and whoever their manager or people managing the catering side really need to rethink their position. I know if it was my business I would hate watching an order for 30 people and any future business from myself...
