Small place but we really enjoyed being able to sit in front of the kitchen. More of an option in Chicago so big thumbs up there. Steak tacos we're on point. Not dried. Hints of lime and definitely juicy but......... the chorizo tacos stood out over all. Bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. My wife stated they made her feel like she was back in Mexico. Both tacos were a stand-out at this restaurant. Bottle sauce seemed roasted and gave a nice back to all the tacos we ordered. Highly recommend the Chorizo or Carne Asada for any dish you chose from this dive but dime in Hammond. Al Pastor, and Tripe are solid choices as well. The pork was tender and the tripe was cooked on the plancha until it had the perfect crisp. After posting this saw more reviews aside from my wifes in person but stating "reminds me of Mexico" Update: Finally had a chance to go back got the Rey Taco and the Chorizo. Both tacos were perfect. Wish there was a little more Carne and a little less nopale but thats personal preference. Had a itch for the nachos but didn't want everything. Couldn't of been happier.

This place has real fresh food and flavors, they are a bit busy but they do the mexican food right. The drinks are delicious as well the have slushies, mango water is to die for. We had chilaquiles tortilla chips with salsa on it chesse with a piece of steak meat, rice beans, enchiladas red were spicy if you do real hot or you can get the mild green salsa you choice of meat or cheese in them.asada torta was delicious as well. Worker were caring a and nice tip your servers!

These people NEVER answer the phone . They close at 9 and phones are down. I called 7 times. They don’t answer. What a ridiculous Mexican restaurant establishment. A real owner who CARES ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS would fix this problem.. don’t come here at all. Go to GRAN TACO 🌮 in EAST CHICAGO .. so much better and professional

I have loved this place for a while now but after today I WILL NEVER order from them again. I called in an order and had my fiance go pick it up. Now when I called I spoke in Spanish and gave my fiance's name they said it would be 20 mins. He goes to pick it up about 30 mins later and they hadnt started it yet. So he waited and as he was walking to the car he realized our order was wrong went back in and they gave him a different bag. By the time he gets home half the order was wrong so I called back to let them know and the rude woman on the phone argued with me saying she told me she couldn't hear.me because of my English umm honey I ordered in SPANISH... At this point I told her just to make his order well go pick it up but she wanted us to pay the difference because she charged him wrong. I said that's your fault you messed up. The manager was in the back and told.her in Spanish just to make the food and switch it out but once she said it's THE MORENO the conversation changed and now they want us to pay. She didn't realize she never put the phone down and I heard the whole conversation and I asked her what him being BLACK has to do with anything and she said I didn't say that I said that's the only order I had HOW THE HELL DOES THAT SOUND LIKE ES EL MORENO!! Needless to say I won't go there EVER AGAIN. I normally dont do this race card thing but she just showed the true colors of the restaurant! Watch your mouth next time especially in Hammond where a majority of your customers are BLACK...

I went today to buy some tacos and they accidentally gave my order to the person ahead of me. The person that they gave the order to left the store and discovered that is was the wrong order and came back with the order 10mins later. The young lady explain that they gave her the wrong order and she opened it up and discovered it was ground beef. They took the bag from her and try to give it to me . I told them no make my order fresh because I don’t know what the young lady did with the order. The cashier and the cook was speaking in Spanish and got an attitude with me. I felt like I wasn’t in the wrong and that they should make my order fresh because I don’t know what the young lady did with the order. I didn’t receive an apology or a refund . I just got attitude and that’s not how you treat...
