Genova Pizza — Restaurant in North Township

We ordered a pickup while staying at (Ameristar; see review). I ordered one veggie 10" and a special Genova 10" (no mushrooms) for my hubby. Also ordered a side of chicken tenders (comes with fries) and a RC 2ltr.

The order was ready promptly, within 20min. My hubby was just waiting inside the store till the pizzas were done, but he didn't know of the order. Apparently someone even asked for money to pay for their order (because it was their bday) when he was inside... Slightly creepy... But he wasn't carrying any extra money.. as per hubby, the place is slightly overdone, with italian pizzas, mexican dishes and flags/items. They do carry a long menu list, but ambience needs to reflect the main item or title of the restaurant.

When hubby returned hotel, he missed getting the side order. So I called back and G was so courteous, and she apologized for missing an item. She offered to apply it towards a future order and I took that offer. Thank you G! Overall, the pizzas were ok, the crust was slightly dense (not soft or super crunchy), we both could eat only half of our pizzas. So left overs, yay! Good amount of toppings which is good. And I also asked for some silverware, four paper plates, and cups because we didn't have any at out hotel. Apparently they also have a super budget friendly lunch combo that people love to get. So if you're in the area, give this place a shot. Overall, food 3 star, service 4 star and ambience (as per hubby's description and experience) 2.5 star. Happy...

My son bought food for him and my daughter to get delivered. He got wings and fries and she got perch fish with fries. When the food came to the house we were disappointed because the food doesn’t come with soda as much as the meals cost and the fries were nasty of being reheated (hard, dry, burnt) like they’ve been sitting for a while and recooked or put in a heater. My baby fish is not perch fish, they are selling big fat fish sticks to look like perch or cat fish fillets. I know the difference of cat fish, cat fish fillet and perch because we eat it enough. But never from this restaurant. Just thought we’d give it a try of something different than pizza or burgers from here. But never again with their fish. Sorry, sticking with J&J fish. Chicken wings were good, that’s all. I called to the restaurant about the food and they did give my kids more fresh fries and I had to walk there to get them. They said the fish is what they have that comes to them. I told them they need to get a different company to get fish from because they are selling fish of not being what it suppose to be. They gave me fresh fries but I’m still disappointed that they don’t have drinks to come with the meals costing...

On 4-24 was in EC stopped in made a big order spent $71 got my order in half an hour, food was good. On 5-8 called to see if they delivered in Hammond, gave my address and was told they deliver in my area. I called back and made another big order totaling almost to $70 again. An hour later I called and asked about my order and was told driver's had lots of orders and it's on its way. So a half hour after calling and inquiring about my order they call me, and although they apologized , I was told they cancelled my order, of course I was upset and raised my voice, the person on the other end hung up on me. Little do they know there was 2 adults and 4 children waiting to be fed!!! To me that's just bad business, or just lazy drivers that don't want to deliver. Little do they know they would have been tipped good. But also why didn't the employees call me and ask if I was willing to pick up the order instead of just outright cancelling my order. Needless to say they just lost a good paying customer who always butts but, and tops good. If they just put a little effort all would be good. So...
