I visited this place July 3rd while doing DoorDash. They were busy and the order wasn’t ready yet. So we sat inside to wait for the order. After a few minutes of waiting one of the ladies in the back thanked us for waiting and asked if we wanted to try a (word I’m not familiar with) on the house for waiting. I thanked her and said sure while having zero idea what I was offered. The place smelled delicious and they were super busy so I assumed it would be delicious.
This lady handed me two of the most delicious meat pies I’ve ever had in my life. One chicken and one beef. Both absolutely amazing. The beef was my favorite but I would have either and not be disappointed at all. Plus they served it with a little cup of green sauce. I wanted to pour it into my mouth it was so dang tasty.
I’ve wanted to return to this spot since that day. It’s worth it if you’re thinking about trying this place. I don’t live nearby if I did I would...
Read moreSweet hostess, very communicative and understanding. Food was top tier and quite affordable. Went here for the first time today and WASN'T disappointed.
The Pastalillos were so juicy and I didn't feel like I was eating a dry Popeyes biscuit eating the crust (forgive me I forgot what the beef was wrapped in, I think fried plantain?) So it was ao pleasant and flavorful. I tried their Papa de rellenas and loaded fry as well, great flavors!! The papa de rellena (only bought 1) didnt have enough meat for me personally, but still overall great portion and crispiness. The ARROZ was so good, Puerto rican rice has been butchered by my dad since I was little so I'm truly glad I had this today 😅. Thanks for the great experience, and my husband loved it too! (I bought this for him and I had my own food, but you know I had to eat both of our food. 😁) God bless you and...
Read moreI had the pleasure of ordering again at Lumar Taste Puerto Rican Restaurant, and let me tell you—this place delivers the flavor. I ordered the mofongo con camarones, and wow… it was incredibly moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious beyond words. As someone who makes mofongo at home, I have to admit—Lumar’s version has officially raised the bar for me. Mine doesn’t even come close to what they served!
I also tried the pastelillos, canoa, and morcilla—each one hit with that true Puerto Rican authenticity you just can’t fake. Every bite brought me right back to the island.
If you’ve been wasting your time (and money) at Tania’s, it’s time to stop. Head over to Lumar Taste and treat yourself to the real deal. You won’t regret it. This place is the hidden gem we’ve all been...
