Jack Binion's Steak — Restaurant in North Township

Very unpleasant experience, hey if you want to go out for dinner and then leave in handcuffs go to jack binions at the horseshoe casino. So myself and two of my friends were just at Jack Binions steakhouse last night for Thanksgiving. My friends and I are frequent patrons of the horseshoe casino. One of my friends had a coupon for the steakhouse worth 500 dollars. We approach the front desk and talk to the gentlemen there who also happened to be our Waiter. He accepted my friends casino card and told us the amount spent will be capped off by 100 dollar increments and walk us too our table. We were given a drink and food menu. I told the waiter we were probably going to have some red wine but needed to look at the menu he said take your time. We ordered our food and actually ended up ordering champagne I think in total there were five glasses drank. We finished eating had a wonderful time. The waiter brings the bill and this is where the trouble begins I tell my friend you need to sign your name on the receipt that's when the waiter looks at me and said there is a balance for the drinks. Then he proceeds to tell me that the drinks are not compt by the 500 dollar coupon I'm thinking to myself this is a great time to tell me this after the waiter had so many opportunities to explain the drinks are not included in the coupon comp. At this point I am very upset I tell the waiter I would not have ordered any drinks if I had known they were not included. I rarely drink it was no big deal. Besides the fact that between my friends and I we had twenty dollars which was going to be the waiters tip. He was expecting 78.00 dollars to be paid for the drinks. I asked him why he didn't explain about the drinks when we entered the restaurant or when I said we would probably have some champagne but needed time to look at the menu that would have been a perfect time to inform your customer that the drinks are not included in the comp, he did not have an answer for me he just looked at the floor. I just want to say very poor customer service I will never be going back to the steakhouse and I will be warning all of my friends about the poor quality of service they will receive if they do go. I just wanted to have a good Thanksgiving dinner with my friends but instead I have to be lied to misinformed and walked out by the police as if I was a criminal. Not how I expected the night to end. The police officer did ask why I was never told that I had to pay for the drinks again the waiter looked at the floor then he says it is explained on the coupon wich was never given to us. Again very poor service and as the police escorted me and my friends out the waiter red-faced stood and stared at me and my friends like a thug as if he was mad at us. For simply being uninformed. Worst restaurant...

I went to Jack Binion’s because of the great food and because I wanting to eat before going to the Venue to see “Gabriel Iglesias: Back On Tour” show. April, the hostess, sat me at the table and told me to enjoy! I knew I would because the food is always great and the service too, usually. I finished eating around 5:30p, and told Doris I wanted the white chocolate cheesecake to go. I’m waiting, and decided to go by the window to take selfies because it’s taking Doris a looooooonnnnnnnng time to come back to my table. At 5:41p, a gentleman and Doris are standing by the table waiting for me. He explained something is wrong with the computer, I think but I’m so angry at this point, I’m just trying to stay calm and cute. He tells me to give him a second. At 5:50p, I’m heading to the hostess’ stand, where the gentleman is standing, to find out what’s going on and he’s surprised when I tell him I’m still waiting for the bill. The show starts at 6p and I want to see all the comedians, but I’m still at Jack’s at 6:10p!! Maybe Doris couldn’t get the bill to print, maybe she was just giving me a hard time. I don’t know. What I do know is, the other tables she waited on weren’t waiting around to get their bills. That was the only time I did not leave a tip and I believe in...

The food was delicious, ambience was very nice, and the view was calming. The service on the other hand was extremely lacking. I don't know if they were severely under staffed Thursday night but the service we received was terrible. It all started when we waited to be seated, it took a while for them to find us a table when the restaurant wasn't even crowded. Once seated a nice gentleman brought over some bread and took our drink order, once we received our drink we were never acknowledged by our waitress, we sat there for more than thirty minutes when we finally flagged down the guy who brought the bread and told him we were ready to order, he took our food order and never saw him after that. Luckily we orders an appetizer because our singer took forever to be served. There was a nice lady that served our food but she wasn't the waitress. The only time the waitress spoke to us was when we asked for our check. I'm not sure what the problem was but it felt like we were invisible which was unnerving when our waitress took care of the two tables on either side of us but completely ignored us until we were ready to settle the check. I'm not sure if I'll go back. If I do it will be for the food and I will be prepared to wait to be acknowledged and wait again...
