In elementary school, this place was great. My mom would get this everyday on her commute from work and its a miracle I was not fat. As a teen, me and my father would get pizza when we finished a landscaping job for lunch.
Now as an adult, working stiff with reference of a high bar, the abysmal state of this Little Caesars and the one in the Highland Shopping Plaza disturbs me. Its like being unable to imagine someone thin from starvation as being once a wrestler.
Firstly, the stock image of a clean, smooth, parking lot is false. It is cracked, potholed, gravely, and unappetizing. The staff and the people who show up are unappetizing.
Secondly, these are the sort of staff who have a deck full of excuses and diffusions of responsibility. Thirdly, the food is not worth the money that goes towards my gas, mileage, time, etc.
The pizza now is not cooked all the way. 4 times in a row this year when my friends want to order pizza here and I admonish them not to, the tips of the pizzas droop like flaccid pancakes instead of being pleasantly stiff like waffles. I hoisted my pizza and saw raw, white spots at the bottom, more towards the epicenter.
When my considerate mother came in the bitter winter to surprise everyone at my fast food job with Little Caesars, I was so engrossed in my chores that I was ecstatic. But then when I opened the box and took a slice, it drooped and all the previous disappointments with this place converged at once and I was incensed.
I was apoplectic that they thought excuse for fast food was acceptable. I called them immediately and they essentially told me they were not in charge of how long a pizza is cooked in the oven. No preamble to going there, getting a refund or even getting replacements until I asked.
Now I go there in person and I open the box(es) in front of them. As a fast food worker, I always inform customers they have the right to check what they got before they leave the lot and their hard-earned money. Me being glowered at by the clerks means nothing and should mean nothing because I am paying their salary.
In fact, last time my godfather was in town to work on his rental property, he found a piece of copper wiring in the pizza. That was the last straw.
This place gives me the equivalent of knowing your grandchildren will grow up with polar bears as an extinct species. Some parts of Hammond are gentrifying, but this place is...
Read moreOn our way home from an event, and my 4 yr old asks for a pizza, so we stopped for a "hot and ready," what a joke. Had to wait in line for 25 minutes, staring a heater full of pizzas, just to have my order taken, then the cashier had no singles and no quarters. My order finally gets taken and then my 4 yr old has to pee, the employees don't allow her to use the restroom, my husband had to takes her to a nearby gas station, while i wait for my refund because i figured that would be faster, but no, the shift supervisor can't figure out how to give me a refund and my daughter ended up peeing all over herself on the way to the gas station. Why was it so difficult to fill the orders that they had the pizza for? All I needed was one pepperoni as did the three people in front of me. And we are all staring at a heater full of pepperoni, at least ten pizzas. No, they have 15 people in there waiting on their orders because the cashier doesn't have any cheese Pizza for the next guys in the order that they ordered, she had so many orders to fill that she can't keep them straight, for some reason all three employees in the back have plenty of time to stare at the line of people but can't figure out how to make the pizzas ordered. This place is poorly managed and poorly staffed. Thank you little Ceasars for making my daughter's night so memorable, all she wanted was Pizza and she ended up...
