I have patronized this business in all locations for the last few years. It is very disappointing to receive such nasty and negative customer service and experience when encountering any issues at the stores.
Be sure to check your receipt because several times I have been OVERCHARGED, especially on sale days, I have also noticed price gouging and have even shown proof, and at the scherville location they dealt with me very humbly, respectfully especially once I provided the proof. Hammond, I had an unfortunate incident with Mike. Middle-age, bald guy, beautiful eyes, but king of testy & sassy with customers.
My product rang up for a different price, then was on the sticker, not only did he refuse to give me the sticker price he said it’s on sale, so it’s not like it matters anyway, he became extremely disrespectful while trying to resolve the issue. This is not about human mistakes, because I understand how that can happen. This is about the treatment of customers once an issue occurs & giving customers the price that is on the product/advertised.
Being a advert shopper, especially on their famous sale days, I have noticed prices are different than non-sale days, and on sale days. I have also watch them remove certain products on the sale dates as well and put them back out on regular days.
Mike told me he didn’t care if I made this post of my experience, so I appreciate the encouragement to share my experience. Thanks, Mike.
To your response : what is a shame is the way that you treat your your customers you have never asked for proof, however, when I provided the proof of the particular incident, I was referring to at the Scherville location, they gladly recanted apologize and treated me with respect.
You had to give the refund legally, because the price that I was charged, was not the same as the price on the product. There is nothing shameful about any part of my behavior because of the fact that I’m willing to stand up in the face of acrimony. Not only have I been a customer of all three of your locations but I also spent a lot of time getting my hair done at this Hammond location. No shouting occurred until you felt offended& disrespected me when I shared my experience. You also called me a liar, which extremely low hanging fruit behavior.
Anyone who shops at these stores start taking pictures of the prices and watch how they change. They won’t be the same the next day or the next sale. The more it’s bought the price is hiked & then put on sale for the price it was previously the week or day before. Whether that is the intention or not, that has been...
Read moreI am a connoisseur of all things exclusive and of high quality. Kali Beauty in Hammond, Indiana has recently been placed on the list of things that I have become a connoisseur of! They👏🏼 have👏🏼 everything👏🏼 and they are the largest beauty supply I've seen! I was searching all beauty supplies in NWI and Chicago for the Babyliss Gold Fx skeleton trimmers, and no one had them. Guess what... Kali Beauty did! The customer service is always impeccable. If they don't have something, they offer to order it for you. They often have free samples. Let's talk about their REWARDS DISCOUNT PROGRAAAAAM!!!!! Maaan listen, every single time I've shopped there, I've gotten a discount. One time I came there without enough money to get the 2 things I wanted, so I ended up buying just one. As I checked out, I was credited $10 from points earned from a previous purchase, making my purchase FREE! On top of that, I don't wear wigs but they have very high quality wigs and hair and they always send out text messages informing of crazy deals, like buy 1 get 1 free! Bruh... Laaaassst but not least, they have a salon in the back. It looks very professional and posh. I have completely disowned all other beauty supplies. I go out of my way to get there no matter how far away I am from it when i need something. Ultimately, in my humble opinion... they are...

I had a very disappointing experience at this beauty supply store. I brought in a product that had two conflicting labels—one stating it was “creamy shea butter for skin” and another saying it was a “hair deep conditioner.” Naturally, I wanted clarification and simply hoped to exchange it for the correct item clearly labeled for skin use.
Unfortunately, the cashier wouldn’t even take a moment to read the label or acknowledge my concern. From the start, he seemed disinterested, annoyed, and dismissive before we even discussed a receipt or possible phone number lookup. Instead, he repeatedly told me, “You need a receipt to exchange for an identical product,” and went on and on about how “most people keep their receipts”—completely ignoring the real issue of the misleading product labeling.
This experience left me feeling not only undervalued as a customer but also disrespected as a person. If you value good customer service and want to spend your money where you’re treated with respect, I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. Spend your hard-earned money where you are valued and...
