Mr. Zorba's breakfast — Restaurant in North Township

They have the most odd ball waitress!. We went there for the first and last time today 🤣 . The weirdness started when we try to order breakfast. I asked if they serve turkey sausage. The waitress told me no they don't. But then on their menu they have something listed as Turkey Patty underneath regular sausage in the menu under sides. She insisted that was not turkey sausage and we asked her what is it ? just ground turkey ? then she says no it's a Turkey Patty. I said does it have spices? and she says no it's a Turkey Patty. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I said okay what is Patty mean then? She says it means it's round. We ordered it anyways LOL and it turned out to be turkey sausage. then she told us they have several specials that were not listed on the menu and since the items i wanted to order were in the special she mentioned, i asked so is it cheaper to do the special (the special had coffee) she replies you can order it whichever way you want. I said well what is the cheapest way? She just stared at us. So i asked the cost of the special, it was cheaper so i ordered it 🤣 Then when we were done we were going to order food to go for a family member who couldn't come. And she said they do not do takeout orders. I said why? Then she got really angry and said because you don't know what it's like to work here, she said the kitchen isn't set up for takeout. People ask all the time and im tired of it! And I asked her why are you giving me attitude and gettung upset that i asked that question? She said because every time people keep asking that! And I was like ma'am that was not me, this was our 1st and last time here 😂 I told her we'll never come back again we paid our bill and left! That has to be the strangest waitress I have ever seen in my entire life 🤣😂😭🤣

Also:. I posted in a fb group, the same waitress verbally harrassed a customer because she ordered a sandwich she wanted to "try" she didnt like it. She didnt complain or ask for a refund. The wsitress asjed why dudnt u est it. She explained what i alread stated. The waitress scolded her infront of other customers, " u shouldnt be ordering things when you dont know what they are!!!".

The biggest complaint , several people said they havent been back because they dont do togo orders. Doesnt Doesnt make sense. They litterally turned down my money when i was the only customer in the building because of their "no togo order policies" 🤣 this place will clise down soon! Driving off customers...

I don't know what you people are seeing that's giving these good ratings becacuse based on my first and only brief experience while trying to dine in.... I must note that this restaurant has an extremely racist staff metality and seating policy.... They should be ashamed of themselves and their 2017 set at the back of the bus racist seating policies...

It appears that the staff has successfully attempted to separate the Black and the White customers who choose to dine in because they..... (the staff) will not allow you to set wherever you please while dinning in.

If you don't set where the seat you then you are not allowed to eat in their restaurant according to their dine in policy which they pointed out on their menu.

What's wrong Indiana.....?

Seems like some of these establishments are seriously still stuck back in the times of segregation .... This is sickning and totally not good business practice.

I willing enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18 to fight all enemies who aim to destroy or terrorize the American values of Freedom & Equality for all. Today I am a valued Disabled Veteran due to my military service and I felt less American with no rights of choice after my dreadful experience with Zorba's staff.

This was a Thanksgiving weekend. I traveled more than 10hrs from Atlanta GA to visit my 77year old mother and my family just to experience the fact that this restaurant has no understanding of showing thankful gestures to certain individuals whom they appear to be strategically targeting unlawfully.

They deserve to be boycotted for these reasons. NOT AMERICAN .... NEITHER IS THIS GOOD FOR OUR COUNTRY....

There is no room for segregation or racism in today's society and such a powerful country and world leaders of peace so this type of thinking and seating policies must change.

Stand up and Speak out Hammond Indiana this is not a good look for your city...

If I could give this place ZERO STARS, I would. The food and service was terrible. After asking where the cheese was on my chorizo skillet, the cook slapped a slice of Kraft American cheese on top of my food and the server gave it back to me. I told her I would not be eating that. When I went to pay and ask about my bill, she snatched the check from my hand and was rude af. When I asked her what her name was and what the owner's name was so I could write a review, she refused to give it to me until my payment went through. She then taunted me and argued with me, raising her voice in the middle of the restaurant. .. told me I was just being picky, then said "Oh, I guess you must be a real good cook huh? Where do you live... Highland? Hammond? Maybe you should've asked about the cheese first!" Come to find out, this woman was the MANAGER of the place!! I finally got her name, but not from her... from the other waitress, who I witnessed walk in for her shift eating chips and licking her fingers... then she put her apron on and began serving food to people WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS!! I seriously cannot believe the experience I just had! I've been a server for many years, and I have NEVER treated any customer like this in my life! I am not a picky eater, and I wish I would've taken a picture of my food for all of you to see. It was so unacceptable! DO...
