Businesses like this don’t belong in Hammond! The owner “Amanda Cozattom” needs to go back to business school to learn how to treat a customer! She and her mother who in a video refused to speak English although we are in the United States, both HARDASSED my sister and myself and even says she doesn’t need our money yet refuses to give my sister her money back!! The worst service I have ever experienced in my life living in the City of Hammond. Refused to give us the corn which was supposed to be outdoors and ended up being a challenging situation to get either the corn or money returned! Horrible hospitality and even worse education! Videos to come on social media to show the lack of business knowledge these two uneducated women lack! After the police showed up, and we were leaving the police encouraged us to write this review in the unprofessionalism from this place, not only did the police motivate this but also a customer sitting in his car waiting for his food said he has witnessed multiple police incidents at this exact restaurant “Pico de Gallo” and hoping he gets his food some time today since he always has a long wait and said maybe it’s time to go somewhere else but out of location convenience he at times is at a lack of options. Again customers, police, this incident, all because we said we were going to write a bad review, exposed the ratchet, unprofessionalism, and lack of education in these two females! Would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Bad business bad bad service! I will tag all the videos with the #BadBusiness #DoNotRecommend #Hammond DO NOT SUPPORT THIS...
Read moreDon't let the facade fool, this is a very unassuming restaurant serving some fresh high quality delicious food. I stumbled on this place getting gas next door(cheapest in the area) just looking for a quick bite, to my surprise they don't serve hotdogs, which isn't a minus here, just struck me as another hotdog joint. The restaurant serves Mexican and American food, the menu doesn't have your typical structure of other restaurants it serves burgers and pastas, tacos and wings, I know it seems unusual but the food works!I've yet to try the pastas and burgers but seem very tasty. 1st time here i tried the shrimp taco(not pictured) and hands down probably the best shrimp taco in the region. This is my 3rd visit here and gotta say they have the best wings around, fresh and hand battered, I ordered the habanero wings again and they did not disappoint, paired with an 18th street candi crushable michelada( don't knock it til...) also pictured is homemade sangria (very good) and took home some al pastor tacos which my significant other really likes and says are very good. The only thing I would like to see is that they serve fresh cut fries. I haven't tried the buffalo flavored wings because the habanero are so good but I'm really surprised this spot hasn't surfaced on that regions best for its wings, because I have had wings at some of the other highly marked wing spots and feel these are much better. All being said there is an attention to detail to the quality of the food here and would highly recommend checking them out,...
Read moreSo my lady and I just went in there and ordered our food15 minutes ago. We both got steak taco dinners. I got flour and she ordered corn. We also asked for double rice and a steak burrito with meat and cheese. our order came to over $35.00. As soon as I opened the container, sitting right on top of our rice was a long black hair. Worst first impression on a new customer that a restaurant could have. You guys can pay for a live band but can't deliver a decent meal without hair in the rice. I will never be back at this restaurant as there are plenty to choose from that know how to prepare food without the hair. I go down just a couple of blocks and get cheaper tacos without any hair in the food. Stay away from this place. The people seems nice but to find hair in your food and to see that they are not taking the steps to keep customer's food hair free is a big disappointment. I won't even taste the other food as it might have hair in it also. A waist of money. No second chances. Don't want a apology or a free meal. Just warning everyone not to eat here unless they like the flavor and texture the hair adds to the food. Update, they also gave me corn when i ordered flour tortillas. As you can see on the receipt, they have basic information and not a detailed receipt to take back to refute the order. Unprofessional and unclean for anyone to find hair the the food that was ordered. The best place to go for steak tacos is La Creatta in Schererville. Great food and great service...
