First of all, the Sunday brunch should be on everyone in Jennings County and the surrounding areas' radar. It is a buffet style with truly delicious food, which is exceptionally hard to do.
I had a weekly specialty, the hot brown strata, topped with the most incredible jam I'd ever had. As I took each bite, the realization dawned on me slowly: it was a tomato jam.
I've never been a tomato hater, especially when they are in season. But you have to believe me when I tell you that this jam was one of the best things I'd ever tasted. In the context of the dishes it was provided with, it added such a sweet complexity that I completely forgot that the food was served like a family potluck.
It felt like each bite was carefully crafted by the most diligent chef in Chicago. You know those Michelin star restaurants with the 10 course meals and the 2 bite portions that you only visit once in your life because it's so expensive? The kind of restaurants at the Langham or the Peabody?
Come to Nash's and have that taste experience, only with more smiling faces, a more welcoming atmosphere, and a darn sight less money. It's worth every penny and more. Genius work, honestly.
I would say I'm speechless, but I could talk about this...
Read moreThe buffet style brunch at Nash’s was exceptional! Between the two of us, my husband and I sampled the homemade biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, wild mushroom quiche, huevos-rancheros style casserole, homemade jams, homemade miniature pastries, fresh fruit, and fresh whipped cream. Items we did not try included bacon, sausage, and Belgian-style waffles. I may have missed a few items, but also need to emphasize the quality and consistency of the food throughout. The orange juice was fresh-squeezed. It’s hard to find that attention to detail. The bathroom’s were clean and the staff friendly and attentive. The ambiance was casual yet relaxing. We have tried the $20 per person brunch buffet twice now and there were some different buffet selections both times. We have also eaten at Nash’s for dinner and had a similar very positive dining experience. Nash’s is...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience dining here! For the appetizer, we had chips and cheese, which were absolutely fantastic—definitely something we’d order again. I tried the Southern Tier Smash, and the bacon on the sandwich was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Farmhouse Friend and couldn’t stop raving about the garlic citrus jam—it added such a unique and delicious flavor to his sandwich.
The restaurant's layout was inviting and well-designed, making for a comfortable dining atmosphere. The service was also great, attentive without being overbearing.
I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re looking for delicious food and a pleasant...
