Yet another entry in the already crowded market for burger joints. Their model is, as far as I can tell, no different from Tasty Burger, Shake Shack, Five Guys, etc. If you've been to any of these other places, you know exactly what you're going to get here.
That said, I've never had a bad meal here. Consistency is the name of the game as far as the food is concerned. I will say that I don't particularly like the fries here - not fast food style and with the skin left on (I think) - but that's more a style choice than it one that regards the quality of product. It's hard to put my finger on it, but the flavors here are different from the competition. Maybe not in a way that is necessarily better or worse, but in a way that is distinct such that I find myself returning here more than I do say, Five Guys.
The service has always been satisfactory as well, but that's really limited to placing an order with the cashier. On some occasions, the cashier will hand me coloring sheets for my children, while on other occasions, they haven't. I once asked an employee if they happened to have sriracha as a condiment and I felt embarrassed (for the employee) when they responded "I don't even know what that is." Some of the people who work here come across like they could probably fix my car on the weekend, or are dating a guy who could, so don't expect too much.
If you're in the area, it's worth a shot. As far as I know, there aren't any competitors nearby, so it's not like you have much of a...
Read moreOur visit to MOOYAH Northborough was an all-around disappointment. Not only were the burgers overpriced at over $10 apiece but were made with small, dry, and burned patties. The fries were cold despite being made to order and my burger seemed to be a miniature kids' burger rather than the bacon cheeseburger I requested. They brought me bacon on a plate to try to fix the lack of bacon but it was smaller than the other burgers at the table. Adding to the dismay, the restaurant itself was freezing cold, making the entire dining experience uncomfortable.
As if that wasn't enough, the floor was dangerously slippery from grease, posing a potential hazard to diners. I think I heard a lady tell others in her party that she fell, but I didn't see it. To top it off, the service was excruciatingly slow; our food took forever to arrive. It seemed as though DoorDash orders took precedence, leaving us, the dine-in customers, neglected and waiting far longer than reasonable. The combination of unsatisfactory food, a freezing-cold environment, greasy floors, and priority given to delivery orders made for an unpleasant and frustrating dining experience that simply wasn't worth the time or money. I suggest the owner of this franchise drop everything when you read this review and address the dangerously slippery floor in this restaurant and lack of adequate heat. I don't blame the staff at all. The two of them seemed very overwhelmed and frustrated. Despite this, they wished us well as we left....
Read moreAs a General Manager of a restaurant my self I know sometimes we make some questionable hires. The food here is amazing my wife and I love the place. However, the past couple times we have came into the northborough location the staff has been inattentive and don't seem to care about the customer experience. I feel the management team should do a better job of holding them accountable for delivering great customer service along with great food to create an excellent guest experience. I love the company I think what you guys are doing is great and I feel what you guys have going can become one of the more successful food industries out there. I think at this location has a problem with management less then the crew being a problem. The manager on duty looked at my wife after we stood there at the counter for at least 2 and a half minutes while they were having a conversation and said to her 'don't worry she's new.' REGARDLESS, it is your responsibility as a manager to make sure your staff is fully aware of the customers around them and are doing there part to make sure the crew is on task and not distracting them from the guest and blaming them for being new after. Like I said I love the company and the food but the management at this location needs to do a better job of being real managers and holding the team accountable, and themselves, for what goes on in restaurant. I hope my feedback helps you guys in your journey to becoming as successful as I think you guys can...
