I love this store. It has a wide selection of products and the prices are reasonable. There's just about everything for any category and so many bargain finds. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to echo some of the same sentiment in regards to customer service. Almost all of the employees I've engaged with were wonderful.
However, there is this one young woman (20s) with short hair and glasses that was terribly awful. I asked to put a few items on hold and she was visibly weird about it. She asked if they are a paid hold or unpaid hold. It was unpaid as there were several more expensive decor pieces. In case that shocked her for whatever reason...customers have appointments, meetings, etc. that contribute to putting things on hold so they can come back later. With larger items, people prefer to take measurements vs. buying things then returning. Keep in mind with larger decor pieces, putting things on hold then combing back helps in terms of transportation if a larger vehicle is needed.
Her manager was wonderful and had no issues with it at all. It didn't seem like a big deal to him. But she was very strange about the whole thing...I even asked after if there was an issue. I think they need to train their employees a bit better and let them know asking to put things on hold is quite a standard thing - for most retail stores.
I went to TJMaxx across the street and Marshalls next door and none of the employees have any problem with holds. This might also be a unique thing specific to the employee I dealt with. But yeah....better customer service would be an...
Read moreI was in here recently and found the perfect storage bin I had been looking for. I needed to get more but could only handle so many in one trip. Between purchasing the boxes and going back to get more, I was exposed to the virus. I called them to see if they’d be willing to let me purchase the storage bins over the phone and let me do a curbside pickup and they told me it wasn’t possible. I now cannot find the storage bins anywhere in the same color and/or size and it’s completely ruined the whole project I had started. As a COVID nurse who is stressed, can’t see anyone and is taking every extra precaution to make sure I don’t give this virus to anyone, it was very frustrating to run into this issue when this project is the only thing keeping me sane right now. Read moreI needed a particular item since I was in the neighborhood I stopped in. Much to my dislike they are requiring customers to continue to wear masks. The state restrictions have been lifted, it is up to each store to make decisions about this issue. While asking/requiring employees to comply that is one thing but to continue to make customers is another. At what point will this requirement end, I won't be back.. until this is lifted. Otherwise there was no point in getting vaxed...this type of requirement keeps the fear out there..if people are scared of the unknown then they should wear a mask...until they feel comfortable again.
