IHOP — Restaurant in Northlake

Location - HWY 114 NORTHLAKE This has got to be the worst IHOP that has ever existed. It is the closest location to wear I live and so time after time we keep trying to give it a chance to change our minds about how we feel. But NOPE every time we come the customer service gets worse and worse. First of all this location is tremendously under staffed but even so.. we have walked in and waited 25 mins to be seated when the entire building had 1 waitstaff with 2 tables only in the whole place and no one even acknowledged we were waiting to be seated. So we walked out. Another time we waited 45 mins for our food and there were less than 5 tables seated in the building. Another time we walked in and got seated but the waitress never came. We stopped her and she said she was busy. That was like a month ago. Tonight we came in at 8:50 pm. They close at 10pm, waited about 8 mins to be seated and the waitress came up and said, " I was told to ask yall if you know that we close at 10 pm?" I said, yes that's like 55 mins from now right. She said well like an hour but I was told to ask if yall still wanted to stay. UNBELIEVABLE... I said "yes, we will stay unless your kitchen doesn't think it can make our food in time before you close". Did I mention there were 3 seated tables only in the whole place. Just crazy this place is still open. I so wish someone would take over this store and whip it in place. It is a great location but always empty....I think we are not the only ones noticing the lack of customer service here. Having said that maybe it's because having 1 person on the waitstaff is ridiculous. Sincerely...

NEW UPDATE!!!!! I had ended up getting very ill, and just now starting to be able to hold liquids down (3 days later) this has got to be the worse location I've ever been to and this is not the first time this has happened to us but I tried to give them another chance only to be highly disappointed. And I'm sorry but the " manager on duty" didn't know how to do a refund???? How the heck is he even a manager?!?! I will edit my review whenever this problem gets resolved CORRECTLY. And I'm sorry but remaking my ALREADY REMADE order?!? NOT going to happen, I would like a full refund! $65.64 was my total and I to paid in cash.

We went to get our order remade from yesterday because we were given the wrong one...

Upon picking up the food,

Cook was yelling in the kitchen at someone then QUIT and walked out!!!!!!

My pot roast looked more like pulled pork and was ice box cold, like it was left over from yesterday and it was the bottom of the pan scraps not even actual peices of meat,

Pancakes were supposed to be gluten free and came out looking like soggy chewy tortillas thrown in the box with barely anything and missing the toppings

Burger was made with all the things on it instead of packed individually to keep it fresh, and meat is cold in the middle and under cooked

Side salad was the worst excuse for a salad I've ever seen,

I get that your cook quit but that doesn't justify letting this food leave that kitchen like this

Called back and the manager on duty said he didn't know how to give a refund. And they kept my receipt!

Arrived at IHOP around 7:00 p.m. tonight (Saturday) We have been moving all day and we're all completely exhausted. We just wanted dinner for four little kids. When we got there they made us wait for about 15 minutes before they seated us, Even though there were only two other tables with people at them. Took another 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Then another 10 minutes to get our menus. And then another 15 minutes before our food order was taken. Ordered our food, and waited, and waited and waited. My poor kids were starving.

Finally at about 8:20, My older son who was with us went to track down a different server. She told us that our server had disappeared. She went to the kitchen, and found just two of our meals. They had been sitting there for over 45 minutes. None of the kids' meals had been ordered. And the food she brought out was cold and congealed. At this point we finally decided to leave. It was just the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. There was only one waitress after the other one disappeared. And she had four tables. And never thought to tell us that our waiter had disappeared. And the kitchen never thought to tell anyone that there were two plates that had been sitting there for 45 minutes. Not sure what's going on at this IHOP, But it was a terrible end to an exhausting day. We will not ever...
