WORSE fast food restaurant experience ever!! Wish I could rate this Sonic location ZERO stars!
Sonic at Raceway Dr, TX gave me a wrong order late last night. By the time I drove home and unpacked my order, Sonic had already closed. I called Sonic at 10 am the next day, but the shift supervisor did not have the authority to resolve my issue. He said he would leave a message for the General Manager to call me upon his arrival at 11 am.
He never returned my call, so i called him seven hours after he was supposed to call me. I told him my order and what I paid & what Sonic actually delivered. He asked if i still had my receipt. Who keeps their fast food receipts? He then asked a stupid question"How do you know how much you paid if you didn't keep the receipt?" I said I tendered payment, of course I know how much I paid!
The General Manager said the Sonic Ordering System doesn't make mistakes & without the original Sonic invoice, there was nothing he could do. He further said "I have to protect my business." I said are you accusing me of lying over a $7 order. He said he was trying to help (no he wasn't) & said that now I am being belligerent.
With that, I said I am writing a scorching Google Review & also informing Sonic Corp. The GM said "go ahead, I get hundreds of review daily."
Issues:
Sonic Sift Supervisor should have authority to resolve minor ordering issues on the spot without having to wait for GM.
Your General Manager needs to be trained to return phone calls!
Your General Manager needs to be much more Customer Service oriented & show empathy vs saying system doesn't make mistakes during makes the ordering process. Overall, this GM needs to be totally retrained.
Overall, I liked the Sonic menu offerings. However, Customer Service Excellence is more that just the menuit’s the total customer experience.
The Sonic Raceway Dr.’s average Google Rating is a dismal 2.1/4.0. Hopefully, this awful rating is mot system wide

This last time I was there the young man who took my order was very short with me and rude, it took 10 minutes for them to make a corn dog and a plain cheeseburger, and they got my order wrong. When I got home I decided to give them a call and see if I could talk to the manager about my experience. I’ve been in customer service and managed customer service for quite some time and I know it’s not always easy to talk to customers when there’s a problem like this. I very calmly explained to her what happened and she was so grateful that I took the time to call and speak to her. She told me that she was a new manager there and was actually brought in from another location to help correct the problems they’ve had. She was so kind and understanding and did not take what I told her lightly. She said that these phone calls help pinpoint specific issues and she feels that they can be very helpful to improve customer service. She appreciated me talking to her calmly and I appreciated her taking time to listen. She asked if I would be willing to come back so that she could fix my order but, sadly, I did not have time. She then offered for me to come back any time during the week so that I could place another order at no extra cost.
Until I spoke with the manager, her name is Abby by the way, I would have given this review one star because of multiple awful experiences at this location. However, after speaking with Abby, I decided to give it 3 stars. Abby, your caring and understanding of the situation was appreciated more than you know. This day and age, it’s rare to see someone in your position go above and beyond your duties. Your customer service gets 5 stars from me! I’m looking forward to going back again to meet you and hopefully see things turn around there....
Read moreTHE MOST HORRIBLE service and food I have ever experienced at any Sonic. I just came back from ordering me and my family dinner from this location. We have had a little craving for Sonic for about a month now and I decided to go get us something. I will NEVER do that again... at least not from this location. First, our order was wrong and I had to have them fix it. Second, when we finally sat down to eat it (at home), the burgers tasted nasty as I don't know what. Either their meat was spoiled or their veggies on the burgers were spoiled. Either way... now i just want to puke!! Customer service is out of this world slow, lazy and altogether almost nonexistent. They couldn't care less about your experience or the food in which they serve you. When approached about a wrong order and etc, instead of the normal "Oh! I am so sorry about that sir. Let me go get this fixed for you" that you used to get back in the day... all you'll get here is just a plain and simple "Ok. Be right back"... And they literally come right back within a few seconds with an equally nasty tasting burger. I highly suggest you stay away from this location if possible. There are plenty of other locations around town that are better than this one. They are in the wrong location to have such horrible employees. This is a high traffic area with lots of good to great fast food places to go to... STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE if you have taste buds. You have been warned by someone who eats out quite often.
