On 090219, we took our family to this restaurant for the second time. The first time we visited just a little over a month prior to that, the food was pretty good and so was the service. There are not a lot of options in this small town so we decided to eat there again. This time, the experience was terrible. The waitress was very unknowledgeable. The avocado bacon chicken salad showed up without any avocado and one little bacon bit. When we asked our server about this issue, she asked, "oh, did you want avacodo on your avacodo salad?". WTH! She then went to the kitchen and brought a small condiment container with a few slivers of avocado. We also mentioned the bacon and she again asked, "oh. Would you like bacon?". At this point, we just responded, "no thanks. Don't worry about it." WTH! Next up were our fried pickles. They were lukewarm at best. Terrible. A quesadilla sandwich was also just warm enough to eat. The floor was very dirty upon entering the restaurant. We decided to give the place a chance since it appeared that they were just extremely busy, however as we sat there we observed the servers to be sitting down at a booth folding napkins and silverware instead of sweeping the floor. Disgusting. the women's bathroom was absolutely filthy. The toilet was covered in feces. I do realize that this was due to the hygiene of a prior patron of the establishment. However, upon my wife mentioning the state of the women's restroom to the manager, he responded, "I don't know, I was in the kitchen". Someone needs to explain to him that though it is not his responsibility for others actions, it is his responsibility to apologize to a customer for such an experience. He should have responded, "sorry you had to deal with that, I'll get it cleaned right away.". We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. The only thing positive was a steak wrap which actually tasted pretty good. Needless to say, we won't be back. This place will no doubt be closed down for business soon by either the health inspector or lack of continued business. What a waste of our hard earned money. I have been a server before. Due to my experience knowing how hard a server works, we typically offer a tip above the 20% standard. I'll be honest. I walked away paying my bill with no tip added and have been upset with myself for not arguing further over the full experience at the time of service for a full compensated meal. This was my worst experience at a restaurant ever that I can remember. Oh yeah, we actually returned because they advertised yeehaw dunkel beer which they were out of during our first trip. They were also out of this beer on...
Read moreI like their food but today was just one of those times where the waitress ruined the experience, rushing us to decide and then making a face when my husband was choosing his sides - not like he was going back and forth with his choices, he just did not immediately say it! Then , seconds after the food gets put on the table, as we are shoving the first fork full in our mouths, asking if everything is fine but for the remainder of our stay was nowhere to be seen, the drinks empty in front of us, I just decided to eat mine at home because the way she had treated my husband just had already ruined my appetite and eating without anything to drink is not a pleasant experience. And still- we tipped her generously- just that she wasn’t anywhere to be seen, so if someone else got her tip, idk but I wish she would have not treated my husband the way she did and would understand it’s not really nice to be interrupted the moment you taste your food! That is not what earns a tip- it’s the attentiveness and hospitality you show guests! So tired of hearing waiters lamentate that a tip is the income : well, that’s the point… you have to be good at your job , a tip is a reward, not an entitlement, or if it’s one, then I think a guest should be just as entitled to great service! And that doesn’t mean keep bugging, it means be polite and discreetly keep eye contact!
Other than that- the food is great and the prices keep...
Read moreYesterday I was there. Sat for 20 minutes before I was asked for a drink order and we ordered 3 appetizers. 20 minutes later we had drinks. It was a hot day so we drank quickly and it was 30 minutes before we had drinks again and our appetizers came out 20 minutes after that (almost an hour). The table next two us had been seated and fully served. Another table to the side of us was seated at this time. We order food. The tables next to us are quickly served. Takes 34 minutes to get sides and sandwiches and chicken fingers bc that's what we ordered and they were all cold. The table beside us received their food warm and ate it and left. At that time, we see everything is taking forever and order dessert. Takes an hour to get our dessert which is all quick to prepare because it is preprepared. We can see it in the thing. By the time we have been served dessert, we have seen table after table properly served and paid for. They offered us an excuse of being understaffed which would make sense if people hadn't been seated and left over and over while we were ignored. We remained patient throughout our meal. Our kids were quiet because I actually let them use their devices because they were starving and starting to get impatient. I do not normally post reviews, but this morning, I woke up with food poisoning and that's all we ate yesterday considering our meal almost took 4 hours to...
