Diana's has been around for a very long time, and you don't stay around so long just because. Going to Diana's Restaurant is like a Sunday visit with family back in the day. The tempting aromas, the colorful pan dulce and cakes displayed neatly, the cozy decorations and photographs, it's almost like your tías and abuelita will be there welcoming you. And you are promptly greeted by the friendly associates, who take your order and gladly make any changes or substitutions to suit your taste and needs. Everything is fresh and prepared according to traditional recipes. As much as I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here, I mostly gravitate toward the irresistible caldo de albóndigas. All their soups are hearty and filling, but this is hands down the tastiest albondga soup out there. Not only are the meatballs and vegetables expertly prepared, but the broth itself is so perfectly seasoned that you won't leave a drop in your bowl. If you wish to stay for Mexican coffee and sweets, you are still in the right place. For a homemade taste and experience, Diana's is definitely...

Service 1/5 Normally service is good and I don't go on weekends.
Today Saturday 8/12, I called in to order so things can go a lot faster since the cruda was k!ll!ng me. Took my money y luego se fue a pasear atender mesas. Meanwhile back at the register with 3 customers behind me, I was just there con la cruda y cara de pocos amigos. She past by me like twice, NADA. A la tercer vuelta she locked eyes with me and you could tell her soul left her body for about 2 seconds... she apologized immediately. I don't think it was her fault completely, Diana's needs to hire an additional employee on the weekends to take care...

This day, I brought my friend to have lunch on their makeshift patio area. It was a nice, beautiful day, so it was perfect. I had cocido, which I'd never tried here before. It was perfect and full of meat. My friend had a burrito and loved it.
Then we went back in for some tamales to go. We got chicken and pork and they were so fresh, perfectly moist and full of meat from top to bottom.
I hope and pray this place never closes. My family still comes here, even my niece who always makes it a point to make a stop when she's visits from New Jersey. We have so many...
