SunnyDaes Ice Cream — Restaurant in Norwalk

This adorable ice cream shop has an abundance of fun flavors, all homemade! They offer gelato and ice cream made in-house. I ordered the caramel cookie gelato, which was delicious, just a tiny bit too sweet (I enjoy sweets, so this says a lot, haha). The next flavor I added on top of the caramel cookie gelato was the maple walnut ice cream. The maple walnut was crafted perfectly. I am unsure what my grandpa, grandma, and dad ordered, although they all enjoyed their ice cream as well! I appreciated how eagerly attentive the staff were when we ordered. Listen. This is the second time I’ve come to a Sunny Daes location in the last few months and they have been closed an HOUR, if not more, before closing. The first time was Westport back in August. What's more intimidating than having a youth sports team show up unannounced? While our crew was building up outside I could see the staff lining up and gearing up too. All the kids (and parents) were served quickly and seamlessly. Everyone was happy with ice cream covered jerseys, certainly made for a great team bonding moment. Being so close to schools and sports fields, it is a perfect spot for more of these gatherings.
