Billy Wilson's Ageing Still — Restaurant in Norwich

I love Billy Wilson’s wings and they have become one of my all time favorites! I’ve only experienced two different bartenders there. One is a younger man, very easy going and very charming personality! I had such a great experience with him I insisted to my friends that they all had to come along with me and try their food and drinks! I was however extremely disappointed by how we were treated by a tall, heavier set woman with an attitude the size of Texas. As we walked in she rolled her eyes and sighed and asked us “what do ya want”. We showed her our IDs and she literally laughed in our faces and then continued to talk about us to another customer saying how young we were and she didn’t know why we would come into the bar at all. This was very off putting and even my friends agreed the experience would’ve been perfect if she wasn’t there. She couldn’t be bothered when we asked for anything such as napkins/silverware. I can understand serving younger people may not be the “crowd” y’all are used to but business is business. I hope the next time we are treated more kindly. My favorite bar in Norwich! Always a good time, whether it's a slow night or bonkers busy. You can't go wrong with any of their food options, but you should start with wings and fries. Steph is the absolute best bartender, with a sneaky sense of humor and a steel vault memory. You can, should, and will tip her very well. If you're a tourist, come by here that's fine. As a resident of Connecticut, this place is terrible. Constant screaming at night due to the bar staying open until 2 AM. Biker boys always revving their terrible motorcycles at around 9 to 10 PM. If this keeps up, they will get a visit from the Norwich PD every damn night.
