As a lifelong Cincinnatian and Skyline Chili lover, it’s sad for me to write this review.
This afternoon, my sister and I took our kids to this specific Skyline Chili location in Norwood located at 4588 Montgomery Road. Our waitress was wonderful! However, at one point, an older man came up to us and said it’s good that our kids were having fun. We had no idea who he was but that was fine. Then the older man came back later and proceeded to tell us that our kids could not play with the condiments “or else they would end up in the ER.” Ummm… OK? Finally, as we were about to leave, we all went to the bathroom. The same man then banged loudly on the door while we were all in there. As we exited the bathroom, he screamed at us that we spilled stuff all over his table. We felt so completely harassed! As we were paying our bill, we asked the cashier who that guy was. We thought he was just some crazy old man dining at Skyline. We could not believe when they told us he is the OWNER!!!
I have been going to Skyline my entire life. I have never once had a bad experience before this. Little does the owner know that one of my children (that he was soooooo bothered by) has been featured in Skyline advertising in the past! Also, I am good family friends with many of their very high-up executives! I made sure to get my receipt and get photos of the location… so I am now reaching out to everyone I know at Skyline corporate to report this man’s behavior. It’s unfortunate to say the least that he made us feel completely unwelcome and harassed us. He didn’t know he was messing with someone whose child has proudly been in Skyline advertising.
Do NOT go to this Skyline location. There is another one very close by that is much more welcoming. Stay away from...
Read moreHorrible food Horrible customer service. They seriously messed up our order weeks ago, it wasnt even edible. So we called and they gave us a credit for the same order. We called in to redeem our credit today, they asked when we would be there. We said 2 mins. We show up 2 minutes later, there were seven staff members visible, and only a handful of customers, and for some reason i stood at the counter for over 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence . When they finally helped me, they called the order back to the kitchen. Why wasn't the order called to the kitchen when I ordered it? Next, they charge me for one of the items in my order which was supposed to be all taken care if from our credit, because we ordered the exact same thing. Apparently they forgot to write down our entire order when they wrote down our credit. I explained they must have made a mistake because it was the exact same order. She got a nasty attitude and said without the receipt I would have to pay for the extra item. I said that's not fair because this was supposed to make up for a mistake you all made last time, and now I have to pay extra because you made another mistake. The worst part was that the lady was nasty about it. I worked in restaurants for over 10 years, literally everything about my last 2 experiences...

Chili spaghetti?! Hummm let me tell you people, it works and it's delicious. This place was my first introduction to the famous chili spaghetti and it did not disappoint. A mound of cheese ontop of a pile of noodles noodles chili. Yummmmm The sauce definitely has a heavy brown sugar taste to it that our waitress said new customers always say they recognize the flavor right away, but veterans do not. About 2/3s of the way in I could see how you don't taste it anymore. Our waitress asked if we would like mustard on it, I couldn't understand why anyone would add that to this dish but after trying it I could see how people probably love it that way, just not for me.
We also ordered the chili dog with onions.... a great dog! And it made me wish I had ordered the spaghetti with onions!!! Adds a another layer of flavor as well as a great texture.
Only small hiccup that bothered me was the manager. When i asked the cashier if they sold stickers, she asked her manager, who told her employee no, and continued on as if I could not hear her? Not a big deal but from a manager, maybe a little professionalism? Not a big deal but it struck a cord with me for sure.
Will definitely go back as there is alot of locations scattered throughout the...
