Overall decent pastries, even though I don’t really love pastries in general. so not enough to draw me back, but don’t regret going. There’s a little parking lot to the side of the building. Cannolis are decent. I thought the filling was kind of fluffy and lighter than I’m used to, but after a night in the fridge it firmed up a bit which i like better. I enjoyed the tiramisu right when I bought it but I think the holding temp in their unit was slightly low because there was some ice crystals in the bite. Was 13.50 for 2 cannoli and a tiramisu slice, which seems very reasonable

I have been going to Guarino’s for over 25 years and today was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had there. Went there with my special needs daughter to get a birthday cake for my son who is turning 8. Waited over 20 minutes to even get helped after the line went down and when there was only 2 customers in the entire place at that time! Eventually, the line got very big again and one girl said to the other girl to go downstairs and get some help. Magically, five girls appear out of nowhere but by that time I ended up with the overworked girl who not only did a very poor job writing on the cake (see picture below), but she also overcharged me for the quantity of specialty cookies. Poor service all around. In addition, the customer next to me whom came in after me was on his third time trying to get them to spell his daughter’s name correctly on their cake! It was an easy name…four letters! I doubt I will go back after all this. There really is no excuse for such poor service all around. And, of course, there is no one there to talk to. I’ve been there at thanksgiving during Covid and it was better organized than today. Never thought I’d see the day, but Guarino’s is going downhill. It’s not worth the trip anymore!

Nice little pastry shop located in Norwood. Fresh baked pastries at a lower price point than any you might find in the city. Nice selection of pastries and cookies. I was particularly happy with the tiramisu as well as the filling in the lobster tail pastry. I believe it was a mix of cream, custard and ricotta. The parking area is small and limited.
