A Taste of Ireland in Norwood Irish Brewing Boston is a hidden gem in Norwood, Massachusetts. Owned by the charming Irishman, Carl Sharpley, this brewery offers a taste of Ireland right here in the heart of New England. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and a cozy ambiance. Tenia, the bar manager, and Sean, the bartender, always greet you with a smile and expert recommendations. Anthony, the talented brewmaster, crafts a variety of delicious beers, with SouthieLite being a personal favorite. But the experience doesn't stop at the beer. Lil' d's Pizza, owned by Andrea and Anastasia, serves up some of the best pizza in the area. The Irish Breakfast Pizza is a must-try, perfectly complementing the rich flavors of SouthieLite. Recently, Irish Brewing Boston unveiled a fully stocked Irish whiskey bar, along with a selection of fine bourbons. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long day or enjoy a night out with friends. Located at the Norwood Space Center on Morse Street, Irish Brewing Boston is a must-visit for beer lovers, pizza enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a taste of Ireland. Irish Brewing Boston is more than just a pub; it's a community gathering place with a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and an impressive selection of beverages. Read moreWe went there with friends for trivia night on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy at first but when trivia was about to start it got busier. The food was great, although limited options, but for a bar that's fine. I don't drink beer but friends from my party said that they enjoyed theirs.
However the reason it's 4 stars and not 5 that I feel it could have been considering it's a great place in Norwood with lots of parking, seats and great options for drinks and food, and pet friendly., Is, that I had a diet soda and when I went to ask for a refill the bartender told me that they normally don't do refills but this one time they would for me. Now if they served soda in cans or a bottle, I would understand not having refills, but this was from a soda fountain where it would cost them a few cents per refill. Not to mention that at most bars they don't even charge the person in the party getting soda as they are usually the designated driver.
Now I wasnt the dd of the party that night (although I often am :p) but still this stood out for me. I'll be going back, probably for trivia nights as it is a nice place to hang out, but this policy needs to change. If it does, so...
Read moreI just hosted a birthday party for my husband here this past weekend and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Working with Carl, Tenia and Anastasia was a breeze. They made sure every aspect of the party was covered, from the set up, to the food (delicious!) and handling the open bar etc. Anastasia helped me pick out the perfect menu and even surprised us with a few extras (including an incredible cheesecake homemade by one of her employees and chocolate covered strawberries as a surprise!) Also, I had specific request for certain alcohol and wine, which they willingly accommodated. I would give them 10 stars if I could. The service was fantastic, we had a thirsty crew and everyone was served very quickly! It was a fantastic and memorable night and I can't recommend this place enough for your next party, or just a fun night out. Shout out to the Jay Proctor band for a great night of music as...
