Don’t discount this place because it’s connected to a gas station. This is one of the best places we ate while staying in Laie. The staff is great. We had never experienced an açaí bowl before and they guided us to the Maui sunset which was awesome. We also ordered the da kine which was good as well. We added peanut butter to the Maui sunset on a different visit and that did the trick. It was delicious. If you’re going with somebody and are willing to split spend the extra couple dollars and upgrade to the large. The flavors were awesome and we returned several times to the point where the staff knew us. There are places to sit inside but it’s a very small area. I’d plan on grabbing and going. They also have smoothies for those who aren’t interested in an açaí bowl. I’d highly recommend this place but it’s...

I have never had a bad experience here until today. I placed my order and when it came, I noticed it had granola on it after I had asked for no granola. Normally, this would not have been a big deal, but there was this older man with a bald head working in the back that came up and decided to try and argue with me over if I had asked for no granola or not. Anyone who works in the food industry will tell you, don't argue with the customer. Even if you're sure that you're right.

So, even though I love the bowls here, I won't be going back after this experience. I didn't come here to pay to argue with some old guy that cuts fruit for a living. And when tourists ask me where to get a good acai bowl, I'll send them to Haleiwa bowls instead because they've never been like that for as long as I have been...

Avoid!! The last two times I’ve come here I ordered online and neither time did they have it ready. The first time I had to wait over an hour, this time they blamed it on bad internet service. When I asked if they could compensate us or even fill up our smalls a little bigger because of the wait (we are getting it 40 min after our scheduled pick up time) they said no. They even filled up my sons bowl less than half. I think if you mess up, or know the customer has had a bad experience the last two times, some positive customer service would come in handy. Two other times I ordered from here the mangos on top, which were supposed to be fresh were just thawed frozen mangoes and were gross. If I were you I would 100 percent choose Haleiwa bowls as their stuff is organic, fresh...

I chose the apple juice blend and it was good. All the toppings went well with the massive bowl that was shared by 3 of us. No complaints about the freshness of the ingredients but I also didn’t feel anything made it extra special. It’s a legitimate 3 star $17 acai bowl. I wished I looked at the menu before we got there as it felt a bit overwhelming. I don’t recommend getting a large only because it’s overflowing and it’s easily something that is packed tightly making it challenging for the first few bites. We moved aside as the doorway got crowded but the cashier proceeded to take orders as people walked in, disregarding us. That was kind of a turn off.

A friend recommended that we stop at Banzai Bowls during our trip to Oahu. I'm glad that we did! The bowls are huge, even if you get a small. I tried the Shark's Cove and Friends of Sunset Beach bowls. I loved all of the fruit, granola, and the honey that was drizzled on top. We also requested an additional cup of granola which was definitely the right decision! Be patient when you get there. Sometimes it takes a while if there is only one person working. The bowls are definitely worth the wait! The prices seemed reasonable for my husband and I, but could be viewed as a little expensive. I wish we had one near us!
