One of the calmest beaches in the area in terms of the surf. It makes sunset beach relaxing to visit and do some lounging in the water between sunbathing. The name says it all. The sunset here is gorgeous. Also the parking is plentiful. Get there well in advance of the sunset before traffic picks up

Parking was ok. We loved this beach. Were there first day of March and loud siren went off. We didn’t know if it meant there was a shark or a tsunami or what! Found out later that they test it on the first day of the month. ;) The sand is fairly soft. Almost looks like sesame seeds. We could see whales way out in the distance blowing and...

It was by far the coolest watching the sunset at this beach! I'm not a swimmer and the currents are far too strong and I found this out the hard way as I attempted to get out the water several times without being able to until someone helped me.
