My husband and I decided to give this place a try today. We we're both pleasantly surprised. I ordered the coconut shrimp with parmesan truffle fries. My husband ordered the gator basket with cajun fries. The portions in my opinion were great. 8 plump shrimp,a huge amount of delicious fries (get the truffle fries!) My husband had a huge mound of gator (DELICIOUS! If you've never had gator and are afraid to try it,get it from here, its outstanding) Service was good, everyone was very nice However, we didn't get refills. Since we were in a hurry anyway we didnt ask. The food came out super fast and was piping hot when it arrived. My only draw back is I wish there was more variety with the boils. More mix and match instead of only being able to get the boils on the menu and ala cart items. Example, I wanted mussels and shrimp, but instead of being able to mix and match your boils, id need to get both separately, and add a side of potatoes, corn, egg, etc... With that being said,I would come here again in a heart beat!

Where to start? Lets start with prices. Prices here are to expensive for the food you get? $60 for crawfish? I think not. We went here expecting a decent restaurant. Plated food, drinks, silverware. Etc... (Nothing our food/drink was served in,was "green" friendly.) Expect less. The crab comes in a plastic bag, bib, and gloves included. Accompanied with Styrofoam cups, plates and plastic forks. This expensive meal is getting really "white-trash". The shrimp appetizers were terrible. Tasted like it went from frozen to microwaved in no time. The only passable dish was the Po' boy sandwich. The po' boy with popcorn shrimp. This dish may be their only saving grace. The shrimp is breaded with great herbs, and spices. Coming together with the slaw, and spicy aioli. Very good. If you want a "unique" experience then this is your place to go. If you want to spend $130+ on a good dinner I would reccomend going elsewhere.

I am from South Mississippi, where crawfish is a pretty big deal :) I've had crawfish a couple of places on island, but nothing to shake a stick at. The crawfish @ Kickin-Kajun is AAMMMMAAAZZZIIINNGGG.. And, if I would not look like such a weirdo, I would drink the "Da MiX" seasonings in which they serve it--not kidding. The manager, Les, is always extremely accommodating, as is our favorite server, Sandra. She has nick-named me "the crawfish girl" lol. My fiance always gets the fried gator, cajun fries & remoulade sauce. He swears by it. And as easy as it is to not properly cook gator, he has never had a complaint. From from what we understand, Danny in the kitchen is the one to thank for such phenomenal cajun cuisine. Keep it up, Kickin-Kajun. You guys provide us with a little bit of home every time we dine :)

Came here to eat with a couple of friends we had a party of 8 people. Our server, Friday is his name braddah man seemed to already have an attitude bc it was a big party. He first comes around asking what we want to drink, simple everyone said water. He comes around with the water. Next we all order our food one time. One of the people in my party wanted to order 5 orders of the fried shrimp. He does not verify what type and automatically assumes he wanted 5 pounds of the boiled shrimp. I can see how he might've gotten confused with the shrimp. He comes in with the 5 pounds of boiled shrimp in the bag and my friend is very nice about it and says you know im sorry but i meant the fried shrimp. Braddah man snatches it out of his hand with an attitude. Still my party is waiting on a couple of more plates so we can all eat together. He finally comes around with the 5 orders of fried shrimp and other plates. Im guessing he had one of the lady servers to come help deliver the food. This lady server came to our table all hard body with an attitude rolling her eyes about the five orders of fried shrimp. We were nice about it saying thank you and sorry about the confusion. Friday didn't even acknowledge our apologies. As we are eating our food Friday does not come around with refills of drinks, takes a while to come back to the table when asked for extra sauces, and ignores us when we were calling him for the check. Another server was the one who was checking up on us. Don't go here and waste your money. The...

My boyfriend and I usually go to the location in town, but decided to give this location a try since we were near it. Initially we were impressed by the size and ambiance of the location. We noticed some appetizers on the menu that aren’t a at the other location, so we both decided to try an oyster shooter and they were really good. The problems started after the appetizer. We ordered out usual snow crab combo with signature x5 sauce. Usually we are warned that the sauce is super spicy, but no warning here. The sauce they served was not even close to x5. Either they didn’t have it in stock, made it incorrectly or assumed that we couldn’t handle it. Super disappointing since that sauce is our favorite. The kaui prawn seemed to be exactly the same as the regular shrimp in my boyfriend’s bag. At the other location there’s a noticeable difference in the quality and size. We ended our meal with the fried Oreo dessert. When we eat in town the server clears and cleans our table before the dessert is brought out. At this location this courtesy was neglected. Instead he brought us our check while our table was still dirty, told us dessert was on the way, then isthmus was brought out and set next to the mess we had made from eating our seafood boil. My boyfriend went ahead and out his card in the checkbook to pay and we moved to the bar to eat the dessert since there was no space at the table. The fried Oreos and ice cream was also different than were used to. Will definitely be going to the other location...

Let me first say it was Father's Day and it was super busy. We do like there food and most staff were very courteous and friendly. It was disappointing that when they had us next in line they had forgotten they asked to wait a little longer for a table. Next thing you know we watched 5 other big groups being sat. So when I asked for the 2nd time time how much longer they asked again my name and ignored the fact they had forgotten about us. We know this because the look in her face and rushed in the back to have a server hurry a table right away. I mean sure she rushed but she wouldn't have even know she forgot about us if we didn't asked again. So disappointing. Of course the server looked annoyed by us as if we inconvenient her by our big group, 5adults and 2 little children, whom were thirsty. But she never came back to offer refill on any drink, not even water. We had other service tend to us cause they noticed we kept looking for one just to get water refill and to add more items to our order. This 1 star is for the server we were given initially, whom never came back after getting our order. Not to the rest of the staff who were much more helpful afterward. I mean I don't know if that was only her duty to take orders but the rest of the staff seemed to be doing everything all at once. That doesn't seem fair to the rest of there team who were doing from giving drinks, giving the food, refilling there items for the night and cleaning...
