UPDATE: After a few days, things were eventually worked out for the most part. We were contacted by Jenna, who was a great help, and received all of our various missing parts. However, we ended up having issues with every piece of furniture.
I would give Valyou a 3.5 stars if I could because of their great customer service. However, the amount of trouble we went through for seemingly simple furniture leaves me reluctant to leave a four-star review.

TL;DR: Two stars for good customer service, but horrible quality control and poor logistics for their delivery. Would not recommend.
Honestly, we had a lot of hope for this company and wanted to support a fledgling local furniture company that might be like our own little IKEA. Right now, I am not sure if I am ready to say that this company is at that level. This is a full review of my experience thus far.
Part I: Ordering
This was the best part. We found everything we wanted on sale during their Black Friday Buy 2, Get 1 sale. The customer service representatives were very helpful during the ordering process. Got everything I wanted for a pretty good price. No issues here.
Part II: Delivery
This part was a mess. We originally wanted to set up our delivery about a month away to line-up with our move-in date and set a Saturday for delivery. The customer service representative said that this would not be an issue and we believed we were all set for our move-in. Literally 3 days prior, we get a notice from Valyou saying that they do not deliver on weekends and pushed up our delivery to the weekday prior. Given that we were not even going to moved in by that point, this was not an option. Even if we were there, it’s not as if we don’t have lives or plans. After multiples attempts at reaching out to push back our delivery (and some stress), we finally got confirmation that delivery would be in the following week.
The troubles do not end there. Much like many condos/apartments in town, our management office asks that everyone make elevator reservations to move furniture up to their unit. However, Valyou could not and did not provide us with an estimated window for delivery until the day before at 6PM. We had to contact our management office on the day of the delivery to try and see if the elevator was available to move up our furniture. Fortunately, it was and delivery went smoothly. The worst part about this were the false promises that we received from the customer service representatives that they would reach out to us with an estimated window for delivery. That call never came.
I think that a delivery service should be able to provide at least a few days notice on their expected schedule with a confirmation on the day of delivery, even if this service is free. If Valyou cannot manage or afford to have a quality free curbside delivery service, they should not offer it.
Part III: Assembly
After finally receiving the furniture, we were relieved that all the troubles with moving were over. At least so we thought. The first thing that caught my eye was their misspelt email address on ALL of their boxes (servcie@valyou instead of service@valyou). At first, I didn’t put much thought to it, but that was clearly a red flag in terms of quality control.
The Valure Dining Table we had ordered had two different sets of legs, 2 larger ones and 2 smaller ones. We also ordered Valmes Chairs, and those were also missing parts. These are the issues we have noticed so far.
We are now waiting for the warranty department to get back to us. If you value your time, we don’t think we could recommend Valyou Furniture. Even if they are able to make it right, we have wasted a lot of time dealing with all of these various issues. If you can spend the extra money to go somewhere else, you probably should. At this point, we hope that the warranty department is able to get us with some new parts and that the furniture will last at least a...

I just want to say thank you to Jenna Mansala for reaching out to me and doing her best to make things right with us. Although my wife and I did not get the exact results that we wanted, we are still very satisfied with the conclusion we came to. Jenna was very kind and responsive to our emails and made sure that she took care of us.
My wife and I ended up purchasing not only one, but two "Dream Mirrors". My wife was very excited to finally have completed her vanity set up. Her sister was also so impressed with the product that she wanted one for herself which is why we ended up getting two. Both mirrors were delivered to our door the very next day after we placed our order.
When we first came into the Kapolei showroom to purchase the vanity set we were only aware that the mirror had touch activated lighting and dimming. We were unaware that the mirror also came with Bluetooth audio as well as USB ports and outlets on the side of it. I was also surprised at how good the sound quality was from the speakers built into the mirror.
Overall, my wife and I are very satisfied with the products that we have received, and it seems as if the company is making a change in the right direction. We will continue doing business with Valyou in the future. ORIGINAL:
My wife and I purchased over 2k worth of products from Valyou Furniture. Throughout the whole process, we ran into issue after issue.
First of all, ALL of our products came late within a 6-month time frame. The customer service rep that we worked with also recommended that we pay for the delivery drivers to build the products upon receipt but some of the products that we paid the additional fee for came pre-built and it did not make sense that we had to pay an additional fee for something that was already pre-built right out of the box.
The customer service rep also sold us on a pre-order vanity that apparently came with a touch-activated mirror. The only reason that we purchased the vanity was for the mirror and my wife was so excited about it. We were told that it would take six weeks to arrive. Fast forward 4 months and several emails/calls later we receive the vanity desk with no mirror. After trying to get into contact with their customer service representatives they finally explain to us that our mirror would be coming in separately within two weeks. A month later, still no mirror. After going back and forth with their customer service department our original purchase apparently did not include the mirror and just included the desk alone. As the product was not yet on their website at the time of purchase we were not able to argue back that our purchase was sold to us as a set, and all it said on our receipt was "Vanity". So now all we're left with is a $650 desk with no mirror. Not just that, when they finally added the desk to their website it was only listed for $599 so we basically overpaid for our "pre-order". Throughout the whole process, we got no compensation or any offers to purchase the mirror at a discounted rate.
Overall Valyou Furniture sells great quality furniture, but are lacking communication, organization skills, and trained staff. Communication is the biggest issue. It doesn't seem like their retail department communicate with their inventory or stock department whatsoever. Valyou sells furniture based on lies and will in no way make any efforts to make things right with their customers. For those of you that are looking to furnish your homes I highly recommend that you go somewhere else. If you can deal with waiting for your furniture to come in half a year later and making calls back and forth trying to get an update on your products (Half the time they don't answer) then by all means go for it. Just don't expect them to make things right if your products come in damaged or...
Read moreOur story begins in the summer of 2020 when, with the Navy Reserve I was mobilized and sent to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii with less than 30 days notice. I found an apartment and needed some relatively cheap furniture to get me through this 1 year mobilization, and then the middle of a pandemic I found my options extremely limited.
I stumbled upon Valyou furniture, and they didn't have much in inventory but what they did have was relatively inexpensive and seem to suit my families needs. I purchased the Eirik sofa on July 31 for $619 and free shipping (yay!) with a delivery date of August 20th. Since we did not have any furniture in the house it was a bit difficult to go almost a whole month without anything. Well August 20th came and went and there was no delivery. We called customer service and they anticipated it would be another week until the sofa was to be delivered, citing customs as the hold up.
Another week went by and the delivery date kept getting pushed so we called customer service yet again and asked if they had an expected delivery date. They did not know, but guessed it would be another week. We've played this game before.
At this point we were understandably frustrated and didn't want to wait any longer so we asked them if they would substitute something else that they could have delivered from their inventory . Now they tried to upsell us on a different sofa (VanMininal Sectional) which we didn't even want because they said it could be delivered within a few days. We talked them down in price but ended up paying an extra $187 for a couch that we didn't even want that was over a month late. Frustrating. It was finally delivered on Sept 4th, which, for those of you keeping track, was 35 days waiting with no furniture.
But it doesn't end there. Our dealings with Valyou furniture continued when we received an email promising a payment of $100 cash to take a photo of our new couch and send it to them so they could use it on social media presumably. They asked for two photos, I took three just in case and sent it to them as requested. I got an email response back thanking me for my photos and giving me a "$100 cash gift card" that could be used in store or online for any of their products. This was clearly not what was promised in the initial email, as I had no intention of buying anything else from them but they promised me a payment of $100 which is not the same as an in-store credit. I think anyone would agree with that.
So I held off on writing a review on my negative experiences with this company because it seemed like they were willing to buy me out with $100, which I was fine with since we finally did have a sofa. However it seems like their company is built on lies. Lies about delivery dates, and lies about perks if you help them out with pictures for their social media campaigns. But this is the end of the story so I went ahead and left a review of my experiences which are sufficed to say, less than stellar. I would not recommend their services to anyone, as their workmanship is subpar their cushions are not comfortable to sit on anyway, and their customer service if you (even want to call it that) is terrible.
I'm not one to complain normally but I do feel like, as a business, you should at least be honest with your customers in providing them what they ask for. Valyou furniture does not feel...
