Planning a wedding is hard work, even harder when you decide on a destination wedding and decide you want no help in planning your big day, but thank the heavens for places like Cosmic Beauty in Kapolei on the island of Honolulu in Hawaii.

It was one day before the wedding and the bride had no idea who was doing her hair and makeup, she also had no idea where she was getting her hands and feet done, but this all came to a beautiful end thanks to Cosmic Beauty.

From the time we arrived we were welcomed just like we were family. The staff was both friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. They were able all four of us without an appointment at the very last minute on a Saturday evening.

The location is beautiful and feels just like one of those upscale day spas in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, but without all the fuss of celebrities prancing and photographers trying to snap that perfect picture. However we were treated just like celebrities, strike that, we were treated like royalty.

This place is Academy Award Red Carpet service from start to finish. The women and one man who took care of us were gentle and very nice. Offering us water, coffee or tea and making sure we were all set for the wedding.

The day of the wedding Bella and Ben came to the cottage way out at Nimitz Beach at Barber’s Point to take care of hair and makeup for the bride and maid of honor and at the last minute even took the time to beat the face of the mother of the groom and get her hair presentably ready for a wedding. Ben took his time to make sure their hair was beautiful even down to asking “do you have flowers for your hair?” of the maid of honor. “no I don’t” she replied and he said “you have to have flowers in your hair” With no flower show around for miles, Ben walked out and picked some pretty red flowers and come back to place them so beautifully in her hair just like it was part of the plan.

They did not miss a beat when we had to change cottages in a matter of minutes and even helped us with getting the car to the location of the wedding so everyone could ride together in the limo. Top notch, gold star, Nordstrom style service all the way.

Cosmic Beauty is a one stop full service salon with amazing service that will meet your every need, even the ones you failed to plan. The environment is stellar without being pretentious and the service is both warm and friendly without being pushy.

We were in the salon for a while and I noticed that everyone received the same level of professional service. As a matter of fact while performing my only job as best man, I called to ask about getting our beards trimmed and the Salons owner was very helpful in directing us to the perfect spot. He was also helpful in pointing us in the direction to watch the USC football game and pick up beverages for the dinner later that night. The bride even left with a FREE bag filled with items as a gift.

This place is a scam!! I originally scheduled my mom's appointment for a mother's day gift at 5pm (2hrs before closing) because my mom works late, and they were okay to see her for a pedicure and haircut. My mom shows up and they charged her $80 for an uneven trim when she asked them for layers, $85 for a pedicure they didn't finish and then added on $143 to color her hair the SAME COLOR she already had, knowing they had NOT TIME for a color. I live in a different state & called to pay over the phone & my bill was over $300!! My mom said they pressured and manipulated her into getting the color which she absolutely hated because she saw no difference at all. They pressured her into getting a wash prior to her haircut which they charged me an additional $35 for and she didn't even want a wash. They called me to pay an additional $35 for gel and all the extras with her pedicure, which they never applied. I tipped $20 over the phone and my mom said they were asking her to tip them again after she was done. I told my mom you are never to return to that place ever again. To make matters worst, they were rushing my mom to get out there and didn't style her hair and even sent a 18 year old inexperienced cashier to do my mom's pedicure. They rushed her haircut and hair color as well and said sorry ma'am we don't have time. I told my mom to schedule an appointment to go back and finish everything but they told her she was done & them kicked her out. My mom was crying after she left, she said the place was so unorganized and a total nightmare. The cashier who was doing her pedicure cut her deep and left scabs. She also did not get a finished product on any of the services I paid for. What a way to scam your customers. My mom had a horrible experience here and I will make sure everyone i know NEVER...

Cosmic beauty is a really great pampering station and as an added bonus, they are all super sweet, down to earth, as they make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. I absolutely love coming into Cosmic beauty as it is a great location, hygienic, premier nail salon that redefines the concept of indulgence and relaxation. Julie the owner has an unwavering commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, she stands out with top-notch nail services in a serene atmosphere. She is a highly skilled technician who provides meticulous attention to detail with a blend of professionalism, young talent, and a talented stylist . Jarae the young stylist welcomed me as I walked in Jarae saying she was thinking what would suit me best as soon as I made the appointment ......awww that in itself showed love and care for a client !! I'm terrible at describing what I want so I went with one of the styles she suggested Voila !! she crafted my hair so perfectly totally changing the way my hair frames my face. I have gotten so many compliments! She is also just super sweet and I really appreciate her upbeat energy. Her recommendation was so well thought out and spot on.
