I've tried Sushi all over America. I was thinking hey in Hawaii and the source of ingredients basically nearby can try fresh so called good stuff. I was more surprised to find out fake crab and canned tuna was used except the select raw options. I saw the reviews and I'm disappointed. The few pieces with raw ingredients did taste good. So my take maybe is get that instead.
Now that I understand much of sushi is made from canned ingredients. Other places I go will expect a similar price range. The rice was farely bland as well more so than a normal experience. I'm likely not going to see sushi the same ever again. My local stores must have some good sushi makers.
I have two restaurants in my town that are near no water and so far any sushi tried at them is really good. I may have had higher thoughts on food quality being in Hawaii but I'm finding it's not the case. The prices here are attractive though and if looking for a healthier bite to eat. It's not a bad route. Just in regards to quality or I guess quality of ingredients to...
Read moreIf you’re a true sushi lover, this place is an absolute must. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that instantly feels like you’ve been welcomed into a traditional Japanese sushi-ya. The staff not only provide impeccable service — attentive, gracious, and prompt — but they also speak Japanese, adding an extra layer of authenticity that’s increasingly rare to find outside of Japan.
But let’s talk about the real star here: the sushi. The hand rolls are, without exaggeration, the best. The fish is impossibly fresh, the rice is seasoned to perfection, and the balance of flavors is masterful. Every bite is crafted with such care and precision that you can tell the chefs are true artisans of their craft.
What’s the catch? They close early — like, 3 PM early. And that’s honestly the only downside. It’s a bit of a heartbreak knowing something this incredible isn’t available for dinner. But if you can plan your day around it, you’ll be rewarded with a sushi experience that’s...
Read moreFirst time trying it out and I had an incredible experience! I got a lunch plate to get a variety of what they had to offer, and everything on it was delicious! I was honestly not expecting much from them based on their small store and low prices, but it was amazing! The only thing I wasn't impressed with, was the customer service. They weren't rude or anything just quiet and not very charismatic, but that in itself was no big deal (I'm here for the food, not the people). I'm marking this place so that whenever I come back to visit Hawaii I can stop by for some low priced, high...
