I had a rather disappointing experience at this establishment, which I regret to say falls short on multiple fronts. My choice of Nabemono, hoping for a delightful seafood broth, was met with an unpalatable taste. Contrary to what one might expect, the dish was inexplicably interspersed with random pieces of chicken and only a scant selection of fish, which was unfortunately overcooked to the point of resembling rubber. Additionally, the lettuce included was marred by black spots indicative of bacterial leaf spots, further detracting from the meal's appeal.
The ambiance, or rather the lack thereof, did nothing to enhance the dining experience. The decor is stark, characterized by bare walls and dark, unwelcoming benches. The absence of music only amplifies the cacophony of overly loud conversations, which reverberate off the empty walls, creating a rather unsettling atmosphere.
Despite the premium pricing, the restaurant fails to deliver a quality experience. Moreover, the parking lot's pervasive odor of urine only adds insult to injury. I would advise potential patrons to consider alternative dining options, unless options are...
Read moreWhen we ordered our food the waiter failed to tell us the pictures on the choices 1,2,or 3. Had a price of 5$ each. This does not make sence. We took the 3 choices and selected the choices that was displayed on the cover. We were charged 39$ for 3 choices but was charged another 5$ for each of the 3 choices we chose. We also was charged 3% because we used the credit card to pay. They also didn’t give or offer us the senior discount. The Teri beef was tough but still had to pay the extra 5$. I was very shocked and upset if this outrageous cost or pricing. This type of pricing usually happens to the 5 star restaurants. Not this old hole in the wall. The food was not all thh he at great either. Grease joint. I would not recommend this place to any...
Read moreCame to Kuni’s to celebrate mom’s birthday and there aren’t any tables for more than 4 people (we had 5 in our party and there are booth style tables only). We were sat down by the hostess/server and she was soft spoken, hard to hear and didn’t really explain anything or ask any questions.
The fork provided was greasy and the cups felt the same way.
The food was a miss in my opinion for traditional Japanese food. Dad’s Katsu was dry, Mom’s Udon was too sweet, shrimp tempura was greasy/heavy, miso butterfish is fried and the just tossed with the same miso sauce from the salad.
Plenty of other good reviews on here by others and to each their own. However, we would not come back considering there are plenty of other...
