L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Oʻahu

The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. I offered the egg rolls, a Pepsi, and the SaiMen burger. The order too about 15 minutes to get, the cashier resulted my drink free as an apology for the wait, thumbs up on customer service. I got my burger first and began eating while awaiting the egg rolls. They forgot to put them in while I was waiting on the burger, it happens, they were very busy. My burger literally fell apart, probably should have came with a fork. I ended up eating loose ramen and a meat patty with my bare hands, so I don't recommend that without a fork... but it tastes awesome. My egg rolls came out and those were obviously fresh since they were straight from the fryer to me. They came with a small container of sauce which I can only think was home made because it was thinner than the sauces normally are, and warm. This specific L&L is very stingy with their plates and the food isn't as good as all the other L&Ls I've been to. Literally they pound their chicken thighs so thin, it looks like they split them in half to make one piece 2 pieces. The franchise definitely needs to mystery shop that place. I also love the employees, but the owners live in a mansion right behind/next door, driving luxury vehicles, but can't bother to replace a broken straw dispenser that's been broken for almost 3 years. They literally rig it with some paper and tape instead of spending probably no more than $30 to replace it. I feel like all of this is an indication that the owners don't value their customers or their experience. In conclusion, I prefer BBQ Kai across the street. I have eaten here so many times and the food here is always very consistent, fresh, and very tasty. The prices here are very reasonable even though at the time I'm writing this prices everywhere are high. The prices here are a lot lower then other places to eat at. I've only had 1 or 2 orders that were either wrong or burnt but I'll chalk that up to miscommunication. 1 was when I asked for all fries my garlic ahi but got all fries with my Loco moco. The other was I ordered a small pan of katsu that I got was burnt but I asked for a side order of crispy fries and I think they cooked the katsu a little longer. Like I said miscommunication.
