It is my genuine delight to write a glowing review for The Beach House by 604, a dining establishment that has become synonymous with exceptional quality, atmospheric beauty, and culinary ingenuity.
Culinary Delight The Beach House offers a stunning range of dishes that expertly blend local flavors with international influences. The farm-to-table concept is not merely a catchphrase here; it's a deeply ingrained philosophy. From freshly caught seafood to locally sourced produce, the culinary team pays homage to Hawaiian agriculture and fishing communities. The poke bowls and fresh ahi are standout menu items, each delivering a complex layering of flavors and textures that resonate with the essence of the island.
Atmosphere and Setting Located by the ocean, the restaurant provides an idyllic setting that captivates the soul. The gentle lull of waves and the caressing sea breeze complement the dining experience perfectly. The interior is tastefully adorned with coastal decor, providing a laid-back, inviting ambiance. Sunsets here are nothing short of magical, painting a kaleidoscope of colors across the sky—a view that is graciously unobstructed.
Service Excellence From the moment of arrival, the service team at The Beach House by 604 showcases what 'Aloha Spirit' truly means. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about ensuring guests have an unforgettable dining experience. Beverage Selection The beverage options are as thoughtful and diversified as the food menu. Their handcrafted cocktails show a deep understanding of mixology, utilizing fresh ingredients to create balanced and refreshing drinks. The wine list is curated to complement the rich flavors of the ocean, offering a selection that appeals to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs.

Read moreFOOD IS EXCELLENT. OCEAN VIEW. RUSTIC FEEL. SERVICE CREW IS A NIGHTMARE.
We came on a weeknight for dinner around 5 pm. Second week of April. Travelling from Vancouver. 2 Couples.
This place is situated in a military base area so you will have to speak to the guards (they are fairly friendly) or they will approach you to ask what business do you have there. We didn't know this coming here. A bit weird.
Restaurant has a beachy feel after you get over the guards at the gate. It has a beautiful ocean view almost no matter where you seat.
OUR BAD EXPERIENCE HERE: There was empty tables nearest to the water but the receptionist rudely & quickly waved off our request; refused to seat us there claiming it is for bigger groups which is funny because the other 4 people that came after us was seated there. Truly did not appreciate this but didn't want to ruin our night so I let it go.
The area where you park smells like garbage and rotten fish.
My food arrived 30 minutes after my family's food arrived. Waitress confirmed that there was an error that happened that caused this, said sorry and that was it!!!!!!!!! It was terrible.
This feels like a family run restaurant where someone was either a chef, knows what he is doing (shows in the food they put out) hired family members to run the front end of the restaurant, without real customer service experience. They are all laid back in a bad way. This is a place of business, customers should be treated better and with respect.
You might also encounter a few drunk people having fun. YIKES. It felt like a pub in there. No good if you have little ones with you. OK if you are here with your spouse only or out with friends.
This area of Oahu is a bit sketchy. Sketchier than the other sketchy area. For the first time in many years travelling to different Islands of Hawaii I truly felt unsafe in this...
Read moreI went here on a recent trip after searching for interesting places on the West Side. The place came highly recommended from a friend, and the location seemed perfect.
Parking was full for lunch, so we parked down the road a bit near the cabins. If you're not here early during the day you'll probably have to do the same.
The property is beachfront with some amazing views, so we were excited to have to opportunity to have a nice lunch after a great hike.
We walked in and unfortunately there was no one at the hostess stand nor would there be one for the next 10 minutes or so. Instead, we watched a group of servers around the bar talk for a while and finally approached them for a table when we saw we wouldn't be seated. The restaurant was only a third full on the patio side only. It would be around 15 more minutes before our server came around to get our order, and that would be the trend for the duration of our visit. Not once were we ever offered refills on drinks either.
Regarding food at least, it turned out excellent. Choices consist of your standard beach and lunch fare. I opted for the fish tacos, and my companion chose the burgers. Both had a good return on value in terms of the quality versus the price. The fish tacos (3) consisted of mahi mahi with cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle sour cream with lime wedges served with chips and red salsa. In essence, the food saved the review with the excellent combination of flavor.
As for specials, they rotate daily and consist mostly of a variety of beer buckets and cocktails if you happen to be there on a day to take advantage of what you want to order.
Overall, this place was hit or miss with the potential to be much more if the business can get the service portion right. We weren't the only ones to have trouble being seated either, so hopefully this is...
