I've been a fan of this local shop for awhile now and the owner has always been wonderful!
However, I wish I didn't have to write this review in regards to the negative experience I had today.
My family has been sick for the last week, but since Local Joe's was near, I decided to place an online order (see screenshot).
We live about 3 minutes away, so I thought why not.
I placed my order at 9:33am. My email said it would be ready by 10:05am.
I didn't get my order until almost 10:35am.
I walked into Joe's around 10:08am and I was asked if I had a mobile order.
I said yes and gave my name.
My iced matcha was already made and I got it.
I didn't want to take my mask off, so I couldn't drink it until I could leave.
I watched customer after customer get their orders, including customers that had placed orders with food, get their orders, and leave.
I decided to ask after I saw a kitchen staff putting up all of their food prep away into the fridge.
I finally asked where the rest of my order was and I got a look of "what order?"
One staff member looked on their kiosk and asked for my name, again.
After strolling a bit, they found my order and said that their kitchen never got it and told me that they'll make it.
After 15 minutes, I saw that my drink was melting and asked if my drink could be remade.
I got a look as if I insulted the staff, which was not my intention at all.
After I asked, I decided to go sit outside because I was getting upset as this is something I haven't seen at Joe's before.
When I finally got my food, I explained to the employee that I placed my order online because my household is sick and I didn't want to be out for long.
She apologized and blamed the issue on the printer...when she clearly saw that I've been standing at the pick up counter for a long time and not even asking me if I was waiting for something else.
Paying $24 for an order that took a hour to get, even when it was online, and to be made to feel you're in the wrong asking for assistance is messed up.
Experiences like this makes it hard to support local businesses.
I'll give Joe's a rest for awhile because I still got mad love for the business and their food has always been a hit! Try them on a day and time where they're...

I paid more than $6 for a small ‘Audrey hepburn’ iced coffee with no upgrades just got the normal milk. I got the coffee half sweet and it was still too sweet for my liking (but that is just personal preference). I assume the high price tag for the coffee has to be because of high rent prices 🤷🏼♀️ My husband got a double shot coffee and we also got one cold caramel apple pastry since all of the other pastries were sold out. Should have asked the price of the pastry because it had to be at least $5/$6 because our total was just under $16. The caramel apple pastry was cold and too sweet for both me and my husband. While the workers were nice, I’m not sure we’d return due to the lack of parking available. You have to find street parking since it is located in a residential area and there is no dedicated parking lot for the coffee shop. If you’re lucky there’s maybe two spots right in front of the coffee shop on the curb but after that there’s a “no parking...
Read moreHear me out... this place when it first started would take 30+ minutes to pump out 2 coffees, and that was with 4/5 staff memebers. Thats not an over exaggeration was like a daily thing so we stopped going.
Then!! they got into the swing of things and now its Top Knotch. Coffee is Great, service is great. All in all a total Win.
I work nights so after my shift I like to stop in grab a coffee for the wife, and one for me to sip on after I wake up. Today they had 2 people on shift, the young man on reg, and cooking and a young lady on bar and they both killed it. 🤙 Place was busy and she was pumping out drinks like no other.
Total turn around, if you gave up on them in the passed. Take my word for it, give them...
