Our office has kind of been in a rut going to the same places for lunch so I suggested that we try someplace new. I looked for the higher rated places near us and decided that this place would be a good fit. Since there were a lot of us, I decided to print the menu and call everyone’s order in for a quick and easy pick up. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and courteous and read my order back to me. Everything was set up. Parking sucks. I came from the Mililani side and tried to turn around to get parking but during lunch, there is just too much traffic. So I ended up having to circle back around and park at Walgreens (even though it is for Walgreens customers) and walk back up. This though, is to be expected any time you go anywhere during lunch in Wahiawa. I got there and there was a long line of people ordering their food. I called my office to let them know which cupcake flavors they had for sale today. By the time I got off the phone I was next, so they seem to at least get the ordering and paying part down quick. I picked up like a dozen cupcakes, paid for my order, and we were off! When I got back to the office, we quickly realized that we were short a sandwich. What a disaster as now one of my coworkers had no lunch. I called the place and the woman on the phone asked me a bunch of questions about my order and then she said that someone else would call me back. While we were eating, and of course each of us sharing a piece of our sandwich to our forgotten sandwich coworker, we found that they got a few of our orders wrong. They forgot to put veggies in one of the sandwiches, and the 2 “hot” sandwiches were anything but. It was reported that the bread was not toasted. A different woman called me back and asked me how many sandwiches I had in my possession and she told me that was how many I paid for. She asked me if I wanted to come back to purchase the other sandwich to which I replied no. It took me 40 mins to get there and return, I was not about to go back there to PURCHASE a sandwich that I knew I already ordered. When speaking with the man on the phone when I ordered, I remember him reading my order back so I know that I ordered two, and I know that every sandwich was supposed to have veggies on it. I understand that errors happen all the time, but this one just sucked because someone was left without a lunch when everyone else had something. I’m also disappointed that they didn’t at least offer a discount or free sandwich to the person whose sandwich did not get made. Because to be honest, who wants to spend their own time and money to correct a problem that the business made? Not me. Not the person who was without a sandwich. And not anyone else in my clinic. The sandwich was good. Nothing about it really wowed me though. The ingredients were fresh, the meat was tasty, and the bread was good. I enjoyed the papaya dressing on my sandwich. The portions were pretty good. The half sandwiches were a good 8 inches I think. My rye bread was 1.5 times bigger than the standard bread at the store. But for all that work of driving, finding parking, and spending money I would rather just go to the commissary deli and pick up something. The cupcakes looked awesome but that’s it. The frosting was a little bland and the cupcakes tasted like they were like Betty Crocker mixes or something. We tried the lilikoi lemon, strawberry guava, and fruity pebbles. Definitely not worth $2.25 each. So, I doubt that our clinic will be back to this location. Combined with the hassle plus our customer experience, I think it would be better for us to go somewhere else. I suppose if I didn’t work on Schofield, and was craving a good sandwich I would probably pick this place over...
Read moreI actually took the time to write this review, so it must suck. Staff was aight but the lack of choices to choose from sucks. They had a list of choices but never had any in the store. Their subs used to be huge and it would fill any typical man. But the last three times I went, shame on me thinking they were improving, my subs became thinner and thinner. I could literally count the amount of shredded lettuce on my sub and the amount of meat that they put is really shameful. Lastly, their prices increased while their portions decreased and worst of all, if you pay with card they tax you a certain percentage and this last time I went to pay with cash, they charged me as is I was using my card and when I confronted the women she acted nonchalantly as if she charges card fees to everyone paying cash. I think this could potentially be a case of greediness and could open up for a lawsuit. I used to love this place but it just socks now. Last time was the last time. Save your money and go...
Read moreOhana Sub Wahiawa, one of the best sub sandwich shops I've been to other than your typical subway. The employees are full of Aloha and super friendly. The sub sandwiches are to die for though, and if you ever get a sandwich with them, make sure you try the aunties signature papaya seed dressing sauce to add to your sandwich cuz it is...amazing!! 😉 Also, here's a bonus, their bread for their sandwiches... is OH SO SOFT! Please come try this popular local spot if you visiting on island here on Oahu. Mahalo to Ohana Subs for providing an amazing experience. 👏
