update March 30, 2023 Came back to visit and noticed the price of the burrito increased to $7.95, even after this review. Def not worth it despite being a cozy coffee shop. Down to 4 stars. New pics added. I'm giving Surfers Coffee 5 stars simply for keeping an awesome coffee business up and running in Wahiawa. Relocating to Haleiwa or Waikiki would be better suited for business, but they stay and remain despite the challenges of the location.... (1) parking; (2) meth heads; (3) transients; (4) theft.
The atmosphere is cozy, cool, and relaxing, despite the freaky-looking mannequin picturesque of the guy living under the Wahiawa bridge!
One TV/monitor plays classic surfing videos of guys like Shawn Briley, Ken Bradshaw & Eddie Aikau. The main TV plays currently ESPN type sports.
I counted 48 chairs/couches/seats. There is plenty of lounge room.
The specialty coffee was amazing (I had white chocolate mocha). I was pleasantly surprised to be served in an actual porcelain coffee mug and not a typical styrofoam or paper cup.
The breakfast burrito was much smaller than expected, comparable to McDonald's breakfast burrito size. I expected it to be the size of Konas in Haleiwa. The cost to size ratio was off, even for Hawaii standards. It was a $4-5 portion, not $7.50.
I highly recommend stopping and enjoying coffee here. Hit the HELPFUL button if this was beneficial for you.

Read moreDecent food and coffee, cute atmosphere. However, the wait is long. Moreover, if you order via their online platform and they are out of an item, there is no way to notify the customer before OR AFTER they place the order. I waited about 20 minutes for an acai bowl only to finally inquire about it with a staff member and learn it was not available. She then promised a refund and seemed to attempt to complete it at the register, but the credit never showed up in my credit statement after the fact. On top of that, parking is abysmal and you run the risk of your vehicle being towed by predatory locals running an illegal cash-only business if you use the Jack in the Box/McDonald’s lot up the road instead of the few spots on lining the road near the restaurant. Shame this is one of the few local coffee shops on this side of the island. All of that to say, consider the coffee farm not too far down the road instead if you’re looking for coffee and a...
Read moreNice ambience. Coffee and service is a complete joke. Never visited here when I lived in the area, because I worked too much to be able to afford luxury coffee experiences (joking but serious). Now that I'm visiting town and have the time, I visit & support local spots. However, this experience was the worst. Pretty sure they forgot my order, so I had to prompt them (maybe because im brown and short?). Or maybe because they really only service "Surfer's only". Waited longer than 10 mins for my iced latte...and the latte was more milk than anything else. They offered me a free pastry, but I kindly rejected; what & wait another 10 mins for it to be ready. No thank you!?! If you like waiting & enjoy vibing on surf decor, by all means this is the place. But I personally wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Had me wishing I went to Starbucks instead. What a waste of my early morning visiting...
