As an active-duty service member, I visited for the military and veterans' promotion, but it was not honored. The staff attributed it to a barcode issue. When I asked if they had attempted to resolve it, the two staff members claimed they hadn't taken any action. There were no signs warning of issues, making it seem like the baristas refused to provide the free promotional coffee. Given the late hour, it appeared both staff members sought any excuse not to make me a coffee. They were neither helpful nor receptive. A creative solution, such as offering a gift card equivalent to a coffee's price, coupon, or discount could have mitigated the situation. However, the baristas failed to show any initiative. Unfortunately, I don't even recall hearing an apology from either employee, nor did they thank me for my service. This lack of initiative and gratitude is disheartening, especially on Veteran's Day, a time to honor and remember those who serve.
