This place is just another aesthetic-driven restaurant designed for social media posts rather than good food. The modern decor and trendy presentation might look great in photos, but don’t let that fool you—the food itself is a massive letdown. The fish and chips were underwhelming. The fries were frozen, lacking any crisp or real flavor. The fish was tough and lazily breaded instead of being coated in a proper batter, making it taste more like an oversized frozen fish stick (which is probably what it was) rather than the fresh, flaky fillet you’d expect. I ordered shrimp and that was definitely frozen too. The coleslaw? Straight from a bag. The tartar sauce? Just the same bland, jarred stuff you can buy at any grocery store. Their so-called “magic sauce” was nothing more than Old Bay and Tabasco—hardly magic, just lazy. Looking at other real reviews, it’s clear this place doesn’t just drop the ball on fish and chips; their entire menu seems to suffer from the same lack of quality. Even the soda was a disappointment—flat and lifeless, just like everything else on the plate. They’ll probably respond with some generic “we’re sorry, we’ll do better” message, but if they actually wanted to improve, they’d put real effort into the culinary aspect of their business. Instead, they cut corners at every turn, completely lacking any passion or respect for the food they serve. They’re just taking shortcuts and expecting no one to notice. If you care about good food, skip this place. It’s all hype and no heart. Don’t waste your time or money on...

I recently visited your restaurant at Kaillua and wanted to share with you how impressed I was with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile from the manager Lorena and the service was exceptional throughout my meal. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation and the use of fresh ingredients.

I also wanted to commend your team on the cleanliness and overall ambiance of the restaurant. It was clear that a lot of effort had gone into creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at your restaurant and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you for providing such a high level of service and quality of food. Your team should be commended for their hard work and dedication...

Absolutely go here or take to-go! Their food is unbeatable! Fresh fish, fast food for the quality and type, great variety and always in season. I can't recommend them enough. This is a go-to for the hubbs and I, and it's in walking distance to all the cute Kailua shops. Go down there, park, eat, and walk around to digest the tons of fish you will consume.

Things I've tried and recommend: Calamari Snapper Ahi (the burger is a personal fave-rare of course) Salmon Sashimi (it's whatever is fresh-ahi when I had it) Fish and Chips

And I'm sure everything else is delish too! Make sure you get their vinegar sauce (it's in bottles on the tables you can eat there or put into cups to go).

4* on the atmosphere only bc the bar area can be utilized better and it's a bit loud and crowded sometimes but honestly that's bc...

I really wanted to love this place but maybe it got so overhyped that it just could not live up to the high expectations. The only thing I loved was the mahi-mahi. Maybe it was a mistake to order a blackened ahi as it was too salty and heavily spice and took away from a nice fresh fish although it was perfectly cooked. The rice, considering it is Hawaii could be better, it reminds me of the precooked rice maybe freshly made jasmine would complement the fresh seafood better. Ahi Sashimi was alright. They give you tons of fries. Place is nice and open air, in a nicer neighbourhood and the area is in front of Target. I would consider trying it again when I’m back.
