The Beach Bus — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Took a cruise out to Kauhuku to check out this beach bus and see what the hype was about. It is located near all the other food trucks. Ordered some of their food and desserts. Also had their freshly squeezed lemonade, and it was pretty tasty for me. Kids loved the mozzarella sticks. Waffle sticks were okay. The bus burger was good. It was like every other burger, nothing fancy. Spicy chicken burger was spicy, but for me, it was like there was something missing to that spice. Loaded fries and nuggets with fries were okay. I think the best dish there was their deep fried cheesecake. It had sooooo much flavors popping in our mouths that we really enjoyed it. 😋 Also, I had the corn with everything on it, but my daughter didn't like it. It was too dry and lacking flavors for me since I had to eat it all. Lol Would I come back? Definitely would just for those deep fried cheesecakes 😍😍...

RESTAURANT.COM PATRONS BEWARE!!! This business is running a scam! They have a deal listed on Restaurant.com but after you pay for the deal, then travel all the way to that remote part of the island, they tell you that was a deal for the previous owner, knowing that you are hungry and you will just pay full price. They tried to keep my voucher so they would get paid by Restaurant.com on top of the high prices they charge for the food. Nothing on their menu had prices, so you are shocked at the total after you place your order. A total SCAM! Avoid at all cost.

EDIT: Owner replied that there are signs stating that the deal that is currently available on Restaurant.com is no longer valid, but that is a lie. There are no such signs. The deal currently listed on Restaurant.com is a lure to get you to their place where they figure you will still order their overpriced food after they refuse...

Okay listen people, you found Kahuku which is amazing, kudos to you. Maybe you also found some nearby scampi shrimp from Giovanni's or some kalbi next door. That is also good; you get more kudos for that.

If you want THE MOST kudos you should really save some room in your tum for a warm, incredibly delicious treat from this truck. I had a single churro with nuttela topping and it was MIGHTY MIGHTY TASTY. I don't even usually care about churros but this one was month-changing. If I hadn't eaten a plate of shrimp first I would have had like SIX.

You might think I need to calm down about this churro but I'm really not going to. The guy who have it to me was really nice and might have been Ty, but I forgot to ask because I preoccupied with my churro. He made it fresh. Crispy AND...
