I recently visited The Sun Rise Shack, this is the second location that i visited and I must say, it lived up to the delicious standards set by the first one I tried in Waikiki. What’s great about this location is that it’s conveniently situated near Bob’s Pizzeria. This proximity allows you to share a bowl with a companion, making it an excellent option for a light and tasty desert.
Another highlight is that this Sun Rise Shack is just two miles away from a popular beach in the area. Plus, their is easy parking space right nearby. There’s an even larger parking lot to the left of the building, making it convenient for visitors.
The seating area outside is particularly inviting, with plenty of shade and vibrant colors. It’s an ideal spot to take a break, soak in the wonderful Hawaii weather, and savor the flavors of your Sun Rise Shack bowl. I also noticed they have a range of items available inside the store, adding to the...
Read moreCan never go wrong with an amazing smoothie bowl. The base blend of orange, pineapple, guava and banana was so good. The guava adds a nice twang while the pineapple keeps it sweet. No idea how they make that pitaya sauce but it was incredible 🫰🏾 topping complemented the base blend well. I don’t think there was really much flavor from the bees pollen but it did make the bowl super cute. I got the small but I would recommend the medium or large if you come with an appetite because I tore threw that small so quickly. Also be prepared for a high price point @ $15.95 for a small and additional 1.50 to $3.00 for a medium or large. Too pricey for this to be a daily/weekly visit but definitely was worth the splurge while I was on island. We went here for a snack before we hit...

After requesting a modification due to an allergy, the two blonde employees were rude and dismissive. They made the bowl incorrectly and then complained about having to fix it—openly talking down about me and saying they couldn’t stand customers like me. It seems purposeful as you can see them and hear them the entire time you are in the shop. I also noticed them treating the woman before me poorly, so this doesn’t seem like a one-time issue… you can also read a bunch of recent reviews. There are plenty of açaí spots on Oahu with better service—I’d recommend going elsewhere. Cool sticker if you leave a...
