UPDATE EDIT: Awesome staff overcomes sketchy location! Full 5 stars vs. last visit. Staff was cleaning as we entered and still greeted us warmly and genuinely. Took the time to speak to us and even brought us the food since it was slower/not as busy. Combined with perfectly fresh salad, correct on a modified order, steaming hot burgers, and clean fountain area--WINNERS! Great deal and excellent value, plenty of parking. Nice folks. Will be back. Recommend! Avoid during weekday lunch times as Schofield Barracks is close by and a lot of soldiers are there during lunch, but they leave very quickly. If you don't like to wait in line, or don't like the military, wait for after 1p on weekdays. Most other times there is no problem with seating or lines.
Two entrances and two exits, but if you exit from the main drag on Kam Highway, you cannot turn left. If you're heading back to Kam if you're heading back to Kam Highway or the freeway, make sure to exit on California Avenue.
Two-stall bathrooms. 3/5 on cleanliness given the area. Diaper changer on wall in women's room, next to door. No paper towel dispenser; only the industrial-engine type of hand-dryer.
Free WiFi (although really slow). Flat screen TV near the front door; usually turned to a news station or sports station with closed captioning and sufficient sound volume. Very quick on orders each time we've gone (never waited longer than 5 minutes), although I understand others have said differently. Free charging stations for your electronics, so bring your chargers.
Two Coca-Cola vending dispensers for drinks, each able to provide hundreds of drink combinations. Want Coke Zero Cherry Vanilla with lime and a splash of raspberry? You can make that here, even if you probably shouldn't. Large cups have thicker plastic than other places, so your drink survives a hot car or even a washing, if you hang on to those sorts of things. More upscale interior than most of the fast food restaurants in Wahiawa.
Outdoor seating is nice with umbrellas. Interior is light-filled and generally clean.
We've never had a problem with the food, the customer service, the drive-thru, the cleanliness, or the wait time.
4 stars overall; minus one star for the difficulty getting out of this location, lack of more than a few handicapped parking stalls, and no security for the location, since it is in a sketchy...
Read moreThis place used to be a lot more friendly. But the manager began stereotyping patrons and became extremely judgemental. They grouped all the homeless together as if they were all the same. I know they aren't because I myself walk amongst the homeless. And I can tell you I am not the same as a lot of others out here. I do not appreciate being judged by someone who could never handle the things I have conquered. Sure maybe the management had some bad moments with some of the homeless but I can guarantee you they have had just as bad moments with the housed. We are all individuals and are not the same! So maybe I suggest some type of empathy lessons for the crew. Especially Management. What if it were their family out here. Their son/daughter, mother/father, brother/sister, grandmother/grandfather, niece/nephew, Aunt/Uncle, granddaughter/grandson etc? We are people and deserve to be treated accordingly. I do not deserve to be looked down on and judged. Or too have to put up with assumptions. I am very well educated and don't look like I'm homeless. Not do I believe I act like I am. But then again, how is someone that is homeless supposed to look like? Because I can guarantee you that we all look different. We all speak differently. We all have our own back stories and are not all on drugs or alcoholics. We all aren't out here just doing illegal activities and running a muck. Granted there are a few that I'm sure are. But I am not one that is. I am a proud college student majoring in psychology. Yes, I am in school to accomplish my degree in psychology. And yes I am homeless. But through the grace of God I am able to keep my head above water and be optimistic. And stay positive. I am also writing a memoir, my life story. Maybe you'll read it someday. Anyways, i know I'm venting, sorry about that but I'd just like to suggest that Management seriously learn some compassion and empathy because they definitely are lacking in that dept.
Btw I do love the frosties from Wendy's....
Read more12/2023 Because they no longer had my favorite Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, I decided to try their Pretzel Bacon Pub Classic Chicken Sandwich. They had this in Beef also but I felt like Chicken today. I really liked it. A fairly juicy piece of crispy chicken on a nice toasty but soft pretzel bun, applewood smoked bacon, muenster cheese, crispy onion strings, & their pub beer cheese sauce. I would definitely order it again. I had a Large Strawberry Lemonade very sweet but perfect for a hot Summer. I scored a free Strawberry Frosty too. It was the first time I had Strawberry. I usually order Vanilla but since it’s limited I wanted to try it. Loved it! My Husband had the Dave’s Double Cheeseburger with Large fries. He enjoyed it. However, their breakfast is another story. I had the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and that thing was as dry as the Lauhala hat sitting in my den. The Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant was as greasy as that crazy rooster running up and down our street. Ugh. 😑 I will stick to the lunch/dinner menu.
12/2024 My mom loves Mushroom Burgers so I ordered the new one from Wendy’s. At first I thought the order was wrong because it was a small burger!! Definitely not like the pictures. She liked it but the price I paid was definitely not worth it. I decided to try the new boneless honey BBQ nuggets and Salted Caramel Milkshake as well. The Shake was Delicious!!! Very rich, creamy and sweet. U can taste the flavors for sure. The nuggets had a lot of sauce which was good because the nuggets themselves were not hot, not even warm. It was room temperature. I was a little worried but it tasted good. My husband had his regular Baconator meal. Overall a...
