The manager working the Monday shift on 05/22/2023 around 4pm is responsible for this terrible review you are about to read. Not only were the cops called in the end, but that is not the worst part.
I recently had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to WARN others. The sheer lack of customer service and the disrespectful attitude of the manager working 5/22/23 were beyond appalling.
First and foremost, the manager at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. After they made a mistake with my drink order, I politely requested a new cup with a different beverage. To my disbelief, they flat-out refused to get me a new cup, .. he told me to "just rinse it out".. It's astounding how a simple request for a new cup could be met with such resistance and inflexibility.
But the nightmare didn't end there. Not only did they fail to rectify the drink issue, but they also got my order incorrect. It was an absolute mess, and the fact that they couldn't even fulfill a basic order accurately is mind-boggling. When I approached the manager, hoping for a resolution or at least a refund, I was met with rudeness and disrespect. He insisted I bring back in the fries I didn't want – In order for me to get the coleslaw I initially asked for. The manager seemed completely disinterested in addressing my concerns, leaving me feeling ignored and humiliated.
I said "will you remake the whole order when I bring the fries back?" He said, "I'll remake what I see." Meaning since I ate a couple of chicken nuggets he would only make what I had left. (so basically since I ate 3 nuggets before turning around to fix my order he would not make the extra nuggets I ate upon returning). Talk about wow. Keep reading..
What adds salt to the wound is the restaurant's unwillingness to provide a refund for the order they messed up. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes, they callously dismissed my request for a refund. It's utterly outrageous that they expect customers to pay for their errors and poor service.
It's clear to me that the manager at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy has no regard for customer satisfaction or the repercussions of his actions. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed here is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to think twice before doing so. Nope think three times.
With such abysmal customer service and a manager who clearly doesn't value patrons, it's no wonder that this KFC has 1.5 stars on other review sites and is clearing losing business. I can only imagine the negative impact this manager has on employee retention, the restaurant's reputation and potential revenue. Until significant changes are made to the management, I cannot fathom recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Save yourself the disappointment, frustration, and wasted money by steering clear of The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy in O'Fallon MO. There are plenty of other establishments that value their customers and provide the service and respect they deserve. CHICK FIL A WOULD NEVER.
To have the police called to solve simple customer respect is very shocking. I strongly urge the OWNER (who I'm sure invested in this store with high hope of providing and spending more time with their family) to reconsider the manager at the The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy: 8716 Veterans Memorial Pkwy O'Fallon MO 63366 United...
Read more1-800-CALL-KFC. Remember this number before you go, because the dim-witted employees at this location don't. If there is a worst location in the franchise for poor management and customer service, this must be it. We placed a $50 online order. We received a message stating it was ready. When we got there, there was a huge line in the drive-thru, and when we tried going in the lobby, the doors were locked, with no signage at all stating why. So we got in the drive-thru line, waited another 20 minutes to get to the order speaker, and was told that due to short staffing, they were closed. When we inquired about a refund for the $50, the response was, "You have to call the 800 number". My wife asked to speak to the manager, in which the reply was "This is the manager". So, when my wife asked his name, he said "I don't have to give you that information". So we pulled up to the window, where an employee was waiting, only to state the same thing, that due to short staff, they were closed. When we asked her for the 800 number, we were told to get it from whatever website we placed the order. We explained we wouldn't leave until they gave us the number, then she slammed the window shut and tried coming outside to tell us to move. The cars behind us ended up backing out of the drive-thru, and then the manager came to the window with a poorly handwritten note with an 800 number. Then he said if we didn't move and unblock the drive-thru (for the non-existent customers behind us), he would call the police. Then my wife asked his name again. He said it was CHRIS. Well CHRIS, you couldn't manage your way out of a wet paper bag. If you want rude management that doesnt care about customer service, threatens paying customers that didn't receive their food with wrongful prosecution, and an all around moron, hire CHRIS. How hard would it be to put a pylon in the drive-thru and a sign up CHRIS? How hard is it to turn off online ordering CHRIS? CHRIS and the franchise owner will find themselves lucky if litigation doesn't result from transactions like this. And don't bother with your standard "We're sorry you had a bad experience, come back and give us a chance to provide the service you deserve" remark. It's pretty pathetic it's your standard response to poor service. We will never patronize this...
Read moreThe person who claims to the be the manager (gave his name as Tom) was horribly rude and yelled at me from the drive thru. He mumbled some KFC statement (I suppose, I couldn't understand it), and assumed it was not time to order yet and I was waiting to get told he was ready to take my order. He NEVER said anything remotely close to "what would you like to order", or "can I take your order", or "what can we prepare for you today". So, I patiently waited assuming they weren't ready yet. He then smart-alecky said "well, I guess your not hungry then". Then, I said "well, yes I am, but you never asked me to place my order, so I was waiting". He then smart-alecky said "well, this is how it works, when I speak to you, you have to speak back". I said "well, that's not how it works at all, and I want to talk to the manager, and drove up to the window, and he was even more nasty yelling at me, and slamming his window in my face and saying "I'm not serving you anything, I refuse to get you anything, and I'm the boss and I have NO ONE ABOVE ME and can do whatever I want". So, thankfully, I found this out before I risked eating any food prepared by someone this violent and nasty and dangerous! I called KFC main Customer Service and reported him (and they were happy to get the message and were appalled with his nasty behavior). No one should go here - it's dangerous. This "Tom" was leading the other employees to laugh and perform these antics and they were all watching him and duplicating his horrible nastiness. It was appalling. This place should not be allowed to exist in our O'Fallon town because we don't want people like this in business here. NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO HERE! I would give zero stars if that...
